I froze where I stood, my back to the stairs and my hand still resting on the door handle. I swallowed heavily, my heartnow racing in ny chest as I slowly turned to face the stairs, freezing when I was facing them.

My father stood at the top of the stairs, staring down at me with an angry look in his eyes. I glanced around carefully, swallowing heavily once more before I glanced back towards him.

"What are you doing home so early?" He demanded and I flinched away from him.

"I...um...I didn't want stay long..." I said, stumbling over my words as I looked down at my hands.

"Look at me!" He snapped and I jumped, looking up at him straight away.

"Now..." he began before he took in a deep breath and continued. "What happened?" He asked as he walked down the stairs and stood in front of me.

"I...um...W-well..." I began before his eyes flickered down to my hands and his eyes widened when he saw the blood that was dripping from my fingers.

"Did you not think to cover your wounds, Aria?" He demanded as he reached down and snatched up my wrist.

He pulled my wrist up to his eye level before pushing the sleeve down to my elbow. He exposed my arm more, revealing the cuts, bruises and wounds that covered my wrist and arm. His eyes wandered over his handiwork before his eyes narrowed on the wounds on my wrist.

"What is that?" He asked as he pulled my wrist closer and examined the wounds.

"U-um...It's nothing. I...I fell at the party and reopened the wound," I replied a little too quickly.

"That is not just a reopened wound, Aria. That looks like a bite mark," he said angrily and I winced as I felt the pressure increase around my wrist.

"It's...It's not! I promise!" I exclaimed as I tried to pull my hand away.

He growled at me and pulled my wrist closer and examined the wounds more closely. His eyes narrowed on the wounds and continued to try and pull my wrist away from him. His eyes darted to mine and I flinched back from him when I saw the colour.

His eyes had gone a darker shade than his normal brown colour. His grip tightened even more on my wrist, causing more blood to well at the wounds. It welled up before it overflowed and drizzled down my arm, coming to a stop at his fingers.

"You...You let a vampire...bite you?" He demanded and I froze before looking at him.

"How...How did you know that...that it was a vampire?" I asked him as I looked at him.

His eyes narrowed on me and I pulled back from him slightly, my wrist remaining in his hand. He looked at me before he tugged on my wrist as he turned around and began tugging me towards the stairs.

"Where are you taking me?" I demanded as I tried to get away from him but he held me tight.

"We've got to disinfect the wound. And quickly," was all he said as he dragged me towards the end room on the second floor of our house.

He slammed the door open and dragged me inside, slamming the door shut behind us. I pulled against his grip, trying to get free of him but he just dragged me over to a chair and threw me down in it. I winced as I landed in the chair before I let out a yelp as my father began to tie down my arm to the arm of the chair. I began struggling and winced as he lashed out at me.

"What the hell are you doing?" I exclaimed, pulling against the rope now binding my arm.

"Stay still, Aria! My God! Will you just do as I tell you?" My father shouted at me and I flinched away from him.
