Sun rays peeped in through curtains making Abha to open her eyes groggily. She then looked around and get conscious of her surrounding......last night memories came rushing to her making her blush hard .....she looked at her left side to find him already gone. She felt upset to find the bed empty after their passionate night. She looked at the clock and got shocked...it was 9 am already....she was late on her first day itself......she hurriedly tried to sat up but felt sore.....
She managed to get ready in yellow saree looking like a new bride.

She concealed the red purple bite marks and hickeys around her neck with makeup . She hesitated to go downstairs....as felt nervous. It was her first day here as daughter in law and she was late. But then made her way downstairs after giving her self a pap talk. Abha entred living area where Prathiba and some of the relatives were busy chatting and laughing. She greeted them gaining their attention and all went silent making her more nervous than she already was. Prathiba smiled looking at Abha's anxious expressions and came towards her. I am sorry maa- Abha apologized looking down fidgeting with her fingers. Prathiba shaked her head and cupped her face making her look up-There is nothing to apologise bacha...it's completely ok. I know you were tired from all those rituals and functions.come have your breakfast then we will have mooh dikhai rasam( bride seeing ceremony). Abha relaxed and followed Prathiba to dinning room. Abha wanted to ask her mother in law about Adhyay but felt shy to inquire about him . He left for the meeting early in the morning but I have asked him to return by lunch time -Prathiba told sensing Abha's unasked question. Abha blushed hard hiding her cheeks behind her hairs making prathiba laugh looking at her shy daughter in law.
It was past lunch time when they got done with the mooh dikhai rasam. Everybody praised Abha making her shy and presented her with gifts and blessings.
Surekha gifted her their ancestral jewellery that she had specially kept for Adhyay's bride. Arohi was with Abha all the time helping her with everything. Adhyay was still not here and she badly wanted to look at him once. Arjun arrived shortly to take her back home for pag - phera rasam . She wanted to meet Adhyay before going back but there was no sign of him . She got ready to go with Arjun to her maternal house but looked at door every now and then waiting for him to come back. Arohi knocked at the door informing her that all are waiting for her downstairs.. She was upset but plastered a smile on her face and went down. Prathiba informed her that Adhyay will pick her up tomorrow evening to return back. She hugged Daadi Arohi and maa bidding them bye and left with Arjun.
******** Here Adhyay was busy in meetings.... There was a lot of pending work due to his absence from last 5 days. Nobody in the office was expecting to see him on the next day of his wedding. They were relaxed and working casually without any worry in the world. They started running here and there completing their pending work when they learnt about his arrival. Adhyay was furious to look at the unfinished reports .He yelled at the department heads warning them .
He cannot tolerate their clumsy and irresponsible behaviour.He got himself busy and lost the track of time. It was when his phone ringed for nth time he looked at the caller id to find his mother calling him . Yes maa- Adhyay asked attending the call . Adhyay it's past 11 in the night and you are still not home -his mother sounded displeased. Maaa....i am sorry I didn't realise it was this late...i will be home in 15 minutes -He sighed knowing his mother was upset with him. You better be-with the last warning Prathiba hunged up.
Adhyay got up from his chair stretching himself.he was hell tired and also skipped his lunch. When he reached home it was already midnight. Prathiba was waiting for him like always. Adhyay slumped on the sofa beside his mother hugging her sideways... who turned her face away showing how displeased she was . Maaaa....Adhyay called in a pleading tone trying to coax his mother . Prathiba smiled at her son antiques and looked at him who was looking so tired with messy hairs . Adhyay kissed his mother palm who caresed his hair lovingly. Bacha you need to take care of yourself too.You cannot work like a machine Adhyay- Prathiba said looking at him with all the love and care in her eyes. I promise maa...i will not repeat it next time-he said his usual dialogue hugging his mother. Ok go and get changed i will reheat your dinner-prathiba said walking towards the kitchen .
Bacha Abha looked upset while going with Arjun . she was waiting for you since morning. You need to be extra responsible Adhyay now that you are married.you need to give her your time and attention bacha...prathiba explained him while he was having dinner. Adhyay nodded not knowing what to say. He knew that his life will change after getting married but he can't neglect his work for that.He had cleared all this with Abha in the beginning only and she was ok with it. He retired to his room wishing his mother good night.
