chapter 18

Abha walked into the kitchen where Prathiba was looking after dinner preparation.
Maa....do you need any help with anything -Abha asked nearing prathiba.
No bache everything is almost done but yeahh you can prepare something sweet as your pehli rasoi ritual has been pending from yesterday.prathiba suggested smiling at Abha.
What does he likes in sweet.....I mean what should I prepare maa-Abha said biting her tongue .
Hmmm...well your husband likes sooji ka halwa -Prathiba replied teasing Abha who blushed not looking up.
Prathiba went out patting her cheeks and informing her about all the ingredients needed to prepare the dessert.
Abha was done preparing the halwa and she just hopped he liked it.
Servants then started to arrange  the dinning table for dinner.
Prathiba asked her to call Adhyay for dinner.
Abha made her way up to their room to call him for the dinner.
He was on a conference call when she entered inside.
She waited silently for him to get finished with his work.....she sat on the couch with a magazine in her hands.....she peeped at him from behind the magazine admiring his authoritative aura....the way he was explaining and presenting the things with a commanding voice.
He wrapped up the work and  looked up at her who was pretending to read the magazine.He approached her with predatory steps .....and bent down resting his arm beside her on the couch caging her in the process .
Her breath hitched feeling him close.
What are doing here- he asked at looking at intently.
I _I was...yeahhhh i am reading the magazine -Abha managed to answer with great difficulty.
He bent near her ear taking her breath away and husked -you are holding the magazine upside down😜😜.
He moved away and laughed for the first time in front of her......
She was lost looking at him laughing like this ....she was admiring his laughter but then his words settled down in her brain and she hid her face in her palms feeling embarassed.

He looked at her after composing himself pulled her up caging her in his arms .
Abha was looking at his shirt button  not able to meet his grey eyes.

So....now tell me what were you doing....he asked nuzzeling in her neck making Abha forgot everything in this world.
He peppered wet  kisses on the side of her neck .He licked on her sensitive spot making her dug her nails in his arms.
Abha felt  weak in her knees.....she would have fallen down if he was not holding her .
A sudden knock disturbed their moment and they parted .Arohi entred and asked them to come down for dinner.
Abha mentally face palmed herself.she totally forgot she was here for the same .
She walked out hurriedly leaving  Adhyay behind.

After having dinner Abha served them sweet dish prepared by her.
She was nervous as everybody tasted halwa made by her.
She was waiting for Adhyay to say something about if he liked the halwa made by her or not.
But he was fully concentrate on finishing it.prathiba understood Abha's restlessness and cleared her throat to gain Adhyay's attention -Adhyay did you liked the halwa. She asked him .
Hmmm it's good as always - he said still eating not getting his mother's hint.
Prathiba shaked her head at his non chalent behaviour.
Abha was relieved that atleast he liked it.... although she was expecting  something more.

Surekha praised Abha and gave her shagun(gift or money) followed by Prathiba.
Arohi too hugged her but demanded to make something of her choice next time making Abha smile.

They retired to their respective rooms calling it a night.

Abha came out of the closet wearing a decent nighty as she was not comfortable yet  to wear those fancy and lacy things  in front of him .
Adhyay was on his phone discussing about some deal in balcony,... already changed into t shirt and shorts .
Abha did her night skin routine and was waiting for him laying on her side of the bed.

It took him another 30 minutes to get done with his talk . He walked inside and put his phone📱 on charging and laid down on his side feeling exhausted.

Abha cleared her throat making him turn his head towards her-mujhe aapse kuch baat karni thi...she said slowly looking up at him for a moment.
Yeahh go on- Adhyay asked her.

Actually it's my last semester and i have already taken a long break due to wedding ,so...i was thinking to start going to college from tomorrow -Abha explained.
You can do what ever you are comfortable with...you don't have to ask me about it-Adhyay replied with his closed eyes.

Abha looked at him for a brief moment but then switched off the lamp and turned around facing her back to him to sleep.
