Her name is on the top.

She is another on of my "book/season inserts", and she is only for book 4.

● Her age is 20 and she is bisexual. She is the oldest in the group (because I headcanon Ryan and Min-Gi to be at least 19).

● She is Ryan and Min-Gi's best friend and only girl best friend (before Kez). They've all known each other since they were babies.

● Deja is very energetic, spontaneous, and loud. She has a very crazy attitude, which can make Min-Gi cringe at times because he sometimes thinks she can be rather annoying, or that what he thinks in his adulthood at least. This personality, however, GREATLY endears her to Ryan, and is one of the reasons Ryan has a crush on her.

● Like I said, Ryan has a HUGE crush on Deja. He's had it since they were kids. In middle school and high school, Min-Gi teased and encouraged Ryan to confess to her, but he never did. He later had a rather heated confession on the train.

● Min-Gi has a small crush on Deja. It started small, but got bigger over time. It's still not as big as Ryan's, though, but it's close. It started in middle school, where Deja got a glow-up, and she started being slightly more mature. She also started being into Indie music more, like Jack Stauber (just pretend he was a thing in this era, ok).

● Deja actually has diagnosed ADHD. It's not too severe, but it's noticeable.

Deja loves to sing, and she often joined Ryan and Min-Gi in their little band when they were kids. As she got older, though, she started getting insecure about her singing. Not too much, but it was noticeable. Ryan and Min-Gi always wondered why, but, as they later learn on the train, it was because a bunch of mean little girls bullied her about it in elementary school, and she cried about it after, but reassured herself that her voice was beautiful. She still had doubts ahout singing in public again, though, so Ryan and Min-Gi assured her that her voice was beautiful. This still didn't stop her from running away from the battle of the bands, though. She could sing to a small group, but not to a bunch of people.

The group broke up for a while after the battle of the bands. Ryan and Min-Gi went their separate ways in the way they did, of course, but Ryan encouraged Deja to sing with him, and Deja declined, not wanting to get laughed at again. Ryan tried to encourage her further, but Deja saw it as pressuring and ran away crying, like Min-Gi. She continued to hone her musical voice, but in private where no one, except her mom and little sister, could hear her. This was because she didn't have Ryan and Min-Gi to practice with anymore.

● When they get on the train, Ryan and Min-Gi have the same numbers but Deja has a separate number. This is because Ryan and Min-Gi's problems are with each other. They're correlated. They do have some problems with Deja, too, but Deja has her own problems to solve, so therefore, she has a different number.

● Deja's signature song is Buttercup by Jack Stauber. That's why I said all the Jack Stauber stuff. It just means a lot to her, and describes her calm yet chaotic and crazy, random energy.

(Edit: before, I was stuck on deciding who Deja's going to end up with, but then I thought...THROUPLE. They're now all happily together.)
