I checked the leaderboard, staring at the numbers of potatoes. There was an ache in my heart I just couldn't shake. Technoblade had won, and Squid had lost. Sometimes in life, you're going to lose. For some reason though, I couldn't help but wish Techno had lost instead.
"Y/n?" A person tapped my shoulder. Startled, I turned around and saw the Orphan Slayer. A smile crept onto my lips.
"I thought I'd never see you again," I replied earnestly. "Good job winning."
"Y/n, this is my sad goodbye."
"Woah what?" I chuckled, "You just got here. At least stay for some food?" I offered. Techno shook his head.
"I'm off to leave for another land. Far away from Minecraft, and I'd just like to say that I'm sorry for everything. From ruining Squid's life, to ruining your friendship, everything."
"Will I ever see you again?"
"No."
