There was the kind of tiredness that needed a good night's sleep and another that needed so much more. For Bianca, one became the other. Like a once a heavy jacket becoming heavy bones.

It seemed running for your life in a foreign country tended to make you forget about your worries. Bianca knew this because the moment the adrenaline burnt out and the rush left her body, the exhaustion tripled tenfold. She was dead on her feet, forcing herself to keep up with the Pogues as they scrambled over rocks.

"Cleo, do you actually know where you're going?" JJ questioned over the waves crashing against the nearby shore.

The sun slowly set under the horizon, casting the sky in a darker hue while clouds rolled in. The buildings around them grew shanty and bordered on uninhabitable. Despite the beach across from them, no locals or tourists flocked to this area. It was abandoned.

Cleo halted, causing the others to stop with her. She pointed up at a run-down, five-story building, "We can hole up here. It ain't the Taj Mahal, but..."

Bianca wasn't sure she could even call this place a building. It was covered in thick vines, the bricks were destroyed, leaving large gaps in the infrastructure and the cracks covering the walls made it look less stable than the Leaning Tower of Pisa after an earthquake.

"It'll do," John B glanced down at her with a nod.

"Any place with working plumbing sounds better than the Taj Mahal right now," Bianca huffed out a fallen strand of hair from her face, barely catching the end of their conversation once finally catching up. "Come on."

Cleo trailed after the girl, "I get the biggest room!"

The Pogues climbed up the stairs till they reached the third floor. While the view outside was breathtaking with a front-row seat of a beach sunset, the inside was a different story entirely.

Rocks and rubble covered the flooring or lack thereof and a windy draft swept through the space since there were no doors or windows. Still, Bianca was glad they had a roof over them, almost shivering at the thought of when they were stranded on the island. At least here, even if they had a bounty on their heads, they were within civilization.
