'It's never going to let you go.' The creature told Judith. She sat there through the static and the pain of the memories that creature brought back, it made her remember that day as if it just happened. It also opened her eyes to something important, something she completely missed back then.
Red-eyes were never going to let her go.
She was naive back then. She did make a choice and agreed to make the deal but she didn't know what the deal was exactly, the deal she took was supposed to be her brother's which was a completely different deal from what the demon said it usually does.
The creature that hovered over her exposed the deal-making demon's true intentions, the deal that she made was an everlasting one, and that's why it injected her with its blood, it's supposed to be permanent.
The woman now realizing how dumb she was, started laughing at her old naive self. She couldn't help but feel sorry for herself, does she regret it now? No.
She told herself she did it for a reason, she did it for him, her little brother and he's okay now.
She was faced with a hard decision to make and she made a choice. The woman raised her head back up again and looked at the faceless creature. It might be faceless but she can tell it can see her and it never took its gaze off her.
"And what do you want from me?.." the woman asked in a low quiet voice.
The creature, who still had its long spindly hand out for her, titled its head and bent closer.
It spilled a few words into her head that horrified her.
Not again, she thought. The creature was asking her to join him, to work for her instead, it was straightforward and clear, agree or die.
The woman shit her eyes closed.
'I can't keep going on like this..' she thought.Judith thought this was it for real, it was going to be over here. She was somehow ready, as a human she didn't have anything to go back to or a life to live. She came to terms with her previous being over, that there's no going back.
Her brother has moved on, soon he will have a beautiful little family of his own, and she doesn't see herself being a part of that family.
Not with the person she has become, how could she? That Judith is long gone now.But not so fast, Judith was about to surrender to death when the creature filled her head with further words, this time the creature approached his offer from a different angle.
'Revenge.'
The creature was offering her revenge. If she agreed to be his little worker- or like how it put it.....A "Proxy".
Judith snapped her eyes open again and looked back at the creature. Many thoughts raced in her mind.
Was this a trick? Another being trying to trick her into throwing her life, which now she doesn't even have, away?
But it's true, now things are different. Now, unlike before she has nothing to lose.
But she can gain something in return,
Revenge. The moment the creature threw this word into her head, it got stuck. Judith thought it over and over, revenge on the thing that literally ruined her life? That sounds nice.
Judith didn't need to talk, the creature had read her mind. She asked how she possibly have revenge, and even if she joined it she'd still be under the demon's mercy.
The creature has the solution though.
And it was offering it to her, as long as she agreed to join him.Judith gazed at the creature's hand in front of her, she knew she didn't need to think about it anymore, she had nothing to lose after all.
