The next morning morning, Zephon woke up and went out to the village looking around for Onika.

Dina smirked at him. "Who are you looking for? Is it that Onika girl you're in love with?"

He opened his mouth to respond but Jayde poked in with Dany. "Dina, leave him alone." She scoffed and followed Jayde and Dany away.

"Dina givin you a hard time again?" Adell asked with a smug look.

He cleared his throat awkwardly. "Well-um yeah. Dina is a toughie."

She laughed. "I should know, I'm the one who's been living with her for sixteen years." They both laughed. "But she's my sister and I understand that she's having a hard time. But she also needs to act properly especially because she's seventeen." Zephon nodded, silently agreeing.

"How's your dad doing?" She added with a sympathetic tone.

He shoved his hands in his pockets. "He's been reading a lot. I think he's been doing petty good."

She grinned. "That's good to hear. You can never get enough of reading."

He rolled his eyes. "I can."

They chuckled. He said his goodbyes and kissed her cheek embracing her as he looked up to see Onika with a murderous look on her face. He cleared his throat and smiled at Adell.

"See you soon, Zephon." He nodded and looked back at Onika but saw Johnny embracing her. He rolled his eyes and took a walk, thinking about his father. A girl bumped into him, knocking him down and fell on top of him. She smiled at him from a top of him and they started laughing.

"Oh my word, Zephon, I'm so sorry."

Adell.

"I just saw you five minutes ago and here we collide again." They started chuckling again. Adell got up and gave him a hand. They brushed each other off, laughing.

"This weeks been pretty-" he started.

"Hectic?" she finished for him.

He smirked. "Pretty much."

Onika and Johnny ran towards them, laughing and panting. "Come on!" Onika shouted as they all started running and then they all sat under a tree, out of breath.

Adell smiled at Onika. "How are you, Onika?"

She smirked at Adell. "Good. How are you?"

Adell ran a hand through her chestnut hair. "Great. Who's your friend?" she gestured to Johnny.

"This is Johnny," she pointed to him.

Johnny grinned at her, reaching out his hand as Adell shook it. "Nice to meet you, Johnny."

He blushed. "Nice to meet you, Adell."

Zephon exchanged a look with Onika, who giggled. Johnny put an arm around Onika and squeezed her, both laughing.

Adell eyed Zephon. "Are they...?"

He shook his head. "Best friends."

She smiled. "Ah."

The four talked for a while before Adell went home after Jayde found her.

Johnny cleared his throat. "I think I'm going to get back home." They said good bye to Johnny and were quiet as they watched him walk away.

"Seems like Adell and Johnny got along well, huh?" Zephon offered to Onika.

She nodded. "Do you like Johnny?"
