Zephon woke up, later in the morning, and walked into the woods until he saw the clearing of Adell's cottage and ran up to the door, knocking loudly.

Jayde answered, smiling. "Adell's awake. Dina and our father are out getting dinner for tonight. I'm heading out to Dany's. Do you mind making Adell some soup?"

He smiled. "Not at all."

She thanked him before heading out. He rushed forth and locked the door behind him, walking over to Adell. She was propped up on her elbows looking pale. Her curly hair was disheveled. He took a seat next to her, noticing that her eyes were bluer than ever. She forced a smile but you could tell she was in pain.

He grabbed her hands and squeezed them. "You'll be okay."

She smiled and then frowned. "But my ankle hurts."

He nodded, sorrowfully. "I wish it were me instead of you."

She smiled. "Thank you."

He furrowed his eyebrows. "For what?"

She looked at him before their eyes locked. "Everything."

All was silent when she moved towards him, pulling her arms around his neck. His eyes went wide.

"What are you doing?"

She shushed him and he wasn't quick enough to react when she pulled him closer. Her eyes were closed when she kissed him softly on the lips. He relaxed into the kiss but he pulled away. She started laughing. "I owed myself that."

"But why?" He asked.

"I needed something good for once." She responded.

He frowned. "Adell, you don't need me. I'm not good."

She burst out laughing. "Sure, you are!"

He stood up and walked over to the pot and turned on the stove, boiling the water. He cut some pieces of meat, carrots, and lettuce. He turned around and looked at her.

"I'll take some cabbage." She added from the couch.

H nodded, adding cabbage to the soup and stored the soup. He sat down after he got two bowls, one for Adell and one for himself. She grinned at him and he got up, pouring some soup into a bowl and walked over to her, handing her the soup. He helped her sit up to eat it. He went back to get his own bowl filled, just as someone started knocking on the door.

"Who is it?" Adell asked from her place on the couch.

"Me!" Someone yelled through the door.

Zephon rushed to open it with a smile. "Jayde I have to tell you-"

Dina looked up at Zephon with a smirk. "Where's Jayde?" She asked, coming in after her father with meat in a brown bag.

"We traded some vegetables for pork. We're making a broth tonight." Their father, a tall and middle aged man, added.

"Jayde left to go find Dany about half an hour ago." Zephon told Dina.

Adell sat up from her position. "Zephon made us soup. You can have the leftovers."

Zephon resumed to filling his bowl again. Their father smiled. "Thanks, Zephon."

He grabbed two bowls and filled them before handing one to Dina. They all sat down at the table except for Adell who laid on the couch. Jayde stormed inside red from frustration. She quickly noticed the company and blushed a deeper shade of red.

"Oh!"

Dina slyly smirked at her. "What happened?"

Jayde grabbed a bowl and filled it, sitting next to her father. "Dany and I had an argument." She muttered as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.
