Late For A 'Date' or so he thought

After Sonic arrived at the shack 'after saying goodbye to Barker for now', he opened the door as he look to see T.K. 'who was watching asleep while watching TV'.

Sonic smiled and whispered, "Guess he had a comedy horror film marathon while I was away."

He closed the door and covered his younger brother up.

Sonic whispered, "We'll be back soon baby brother." Sonic looked around before he said as he checked the time, "It's already way passed 5:15."

He then flatly said, "I knew that jerk was lying. What an idiot. Did he actually think I didn't see through his lie? He didn't he even let me answer."

He simply said as he laid on the hammock, "Stupid. Probably finally left me alone."

Thats when a knock on the door occurred.

Sonic muttered, "Ugh.. I spoke too soon." 

Sonic walked to the door and no surprise it is Knuckles 'who was really out of breath'.

Not in the mood for this, Sonic asked rudely, "What do you want punk?"

Knuckles replied, "I'm here for our date silly blue boy."

Sonic asked, "What date? I didn't agree to any date."

Knuckles said without hesitation, "Yes you did."

Sonic replied flatly, "No I didn't. I didn't even answer you. Even if I did, the answer will still be: NO!"

Knuckles then begged, "Come on Sonic. Please give me a chance. We can start over."

Sonic rolled his eyes and said sarcastically, "Oh let me think while I get ready."

He slammed the door as Sonic whispered as he locked it, "huh! Idiot..."

He then T.K. snoring quietly.

Sonic smiled a little and thought, "What did we do to deserve to him? I better get dinner started."

<meanwhile>

Knuckles had a bored look as he said, "Hmm. Maybe he needs some time to get ready."

Though Knuckles was waiting more longer than he thought. Hour after he started to get tired.

His limbs were getting heavy, his eyes were droopy, and he yawned tiredly.

He said in a tired, "Come on. What's taking him so long? I never shoulda took too long on those renovations or working overtime. I shoulda just finished work early."

<earlier>

Knuckles was walking around the village for a little while looking around and whistling a tune.

The red echidna then saw the two bandicoots eating the chocolate that he gave to Sonic.

His jaw dropped when he heard Staci said to Elsie, "Man I can't believe Sonic gave this to us."

Elsie replied to her as she took a bite, "Your telling me. Whoever gave it to him must've been some clueless dope."

Staci laughed as she said, "You said it babe. An idiotic dope."

They both laughed as Knuckles muttered, "A dope...?"

Knuckles felt a little hurt about Sonic giving the chocolates but that didn't stop him.

Earlier in the week Knuckles got his old job back at the old ad campaign.

Once he was done with work, Diane said, "I have no regrets hiring you back and all but what's with the LGBTQ stuff?"

Knuckles sighed and said, "It's a long story. But what time is it?"

Diane replied, "It's about 5:02."

Knuckles shouted as he stood up, "5:02. I BETTER GET GOING AND MAKE DINNER RENOVATIONS!"

Knuckles ran off as Pierre said, "Uhhh what just happened?"

Gunther replied to him, "I say he's going out for a date. Wonder who the lucky lady he's seeing."

Diane answered them, "I don't think it's a girl. I didn't sponsor the LBGTQ ad campaign for nothing."

The two guys agreed as they muttered.

<now>

Knuckles 'still waiting' was getting really tired. He yawned as he laid on the porch.

He said to himself, "Maybe I should lay here until Sonic comes out."

Not long after he fell asleep.

Sonic growled and glared at him.

He whispered to his little brother 'who woke up', "What an idiot he is T.K. Did he actually thought I was getting ready? He's completely stupid."

T.K. replied quietly, "Should we kick him to the curve?"

Sonic replied, "Maybe in the morning and we can kick him to the sand. What a weakling he is. I dunno what I saw in him."

T.K. 'Who woke up for a moment' whispered, "Can we still kick him to the sand?"

Sonic nodded and said, "Yeah. Not the type for a prince. I wouldn't like him if he were tough, cold, and dark as me. I actually prefer skinnier dudes than bulky ones anyway."

The two went to sleep as Knuckles dreamed of Sonic 'the heart he will never get to win'.
