Hi, after request to continue this story, I'll continue!!!!  :3

However, for the next chapter: I need 10 comments & 5 stars just to see if ppl are still reading<3

Luz

Okay, Luz, note to self: late night water breaks increase the chances of deep sentimental talks. Next time..just hide in the bathroom.

Clink..clink..clink. It's the sound of a metal spoon tapping the edges of a Garfield mug as mama mixes hot coco powder with warm milk. I sit at the table, fiddling my thumbs nervously. Just moments ago, my mom sent off Hunter with new, dry PJ's to change into.

"You know..I don't mind that you broke that mug," mom assures, gently placing the cup in front of my hands. "If that's what you two were so nervous about, no worries."

I stop fidgeting. I scoop the cup to warm my cold hands instead. "Sorry about that.."

"That, and I understand having a hard time sleeping. You've been through a lot. It's not a big deal—It was an accident."

"..It seems like all I do is accidental."

"Uhm..Anyways. At least you two weren't actually making a surprise breakfast! We don't..have enough ingredients for that haha! Everyone would be stuck with mini pancakes," she nervously jokes. I must have looked too gloomy; I can tell she's doing her best to lighten the mood.

I grimace slightly, but immediately force a grin. "Ah yes..you're so so right.." I sip my hot coco, avoiding eye contact. Instead, I stare at the window. The night seems to be making its way to pale daylight. Raindrops bead across the window glass.

Her playful demeanor dissipates into a frown. Perhaps I seem too distant. I clear my throat. "Uhm. Thanks for the hot coco mom!"

"Yes..of course. Uhm...how's an early breakfast sound? Scrambled eggs with ketchup, ah?"

"That would be so nice..." I trace my hand along the woof curvutures of the table. They texture is smooth, with a couple bumps and dents along the surface. Somehow, the texture reminds me of Eda's staff.

I sigh, I'm such a debby downer. A table? Seriously...maybe I should get that.....

Thunder clashes in the sky.

Egg.

I pause, My heart drops. My eyes dart to the nearby counters, my own hands. I stand up. Shoot! "Wait—Can I just check for something outside first?" I stand up, a bit frantic. "I lost something really important to me."

"Mijá, I don't know how I feel about you going out there alone—"

"Mom," I make eye contact with her. "Please."

"Okay, okay. Well let me help you. What are we looking for?"

Vee

"A twin..? Hm. I never really considered that..but wouldn't it be weird to have two twins with the same name?"

"Er...My siblings back home got similar-ish sounding names..." She tilts her head to the left and squints. "Maybe you can go with...Luz..ura?"

I smile nervously, "Like..Azura? From that book Luz reads?"

Her cheeks flush a light, peach pink. "Too on the nose? I mean..it's just a suggestion."

I giggle, "I'll think about it."

My chest feels unfufilled. For some reason, the tension in my body remains. Amity has been so kind enough to give me an answer....a solution to everything. Yet, to be a twin still feels off...
