After the fireworks, Jisoo slowly got up and tried to help Jennie up but she didn't see her hand and just got up herself.
Everyone around them was also packing up and leaving but Jisoo and Jennie stood there looking at each other.
Jennie finally pulled away and said, "This was...nice. I really....I really enjoyed it. Thank you."
Jisoo sighed and stepped forward a bit, leaving an inch between them and she saw Jennie raise her eyes up to hers.
Jisoo smiled. "I had fun as well." The she lifted her hand and checked her watch. "It's 9. Let me drop you back now."
Jennie smiled. "Well, aren't you responsible?"
Jisoo rolled her eyes and took out her key into her hand.
They walked in the same silence they came in and neither of them felt the need to fill it. It was just a silence that made them want to smile and glance at each other when the other wasn't looking.
She smiled as they found the and car got in their respective seats.
Jisoo carefully guided the car out of the parallel parking and silently starting driving Jennie back.
Jennie looked at Jisoo and asked, "So how do you plan on spending the rest of your night?"
"What do you mean?"
"It's 9pm, Jisoo. I know you're no nun."
The raven chuckled. "I'll probably just watch a movie with Lisa."
Jennie frowned. "Who's Lisa?"
"My girlfriend."
Jennie gasped. "HOW DARE YOU DO THIS AND—"
Jisoo laughed and made a turn. "Jennie, Jennie, calm down! I was just joking! She's my manager and best friend!"
Jennie pulled herself back into her seat. "That wasn't funny."
Jisoo sighed over exaggeratedly. "Yes, well? My humor is broken." Then she smiled softly. "What do you plan on doing?"
Jennie crossed her arms over her chest. "Nothing much. Maybe read. I bought a lot of books when I was in the States."
Jisoo turned her blinker on and made a left. "You used to live there?"
"4 years. I had a lot of fun and studied there for my Master's."
Jisoo nodded and Jennie asked, "How long have you done professional biking?"
Jisoo thought for a moment. "7 years."
"Did you go to—"
"Yup. I went to college for business and economics."
"Oh....I wouldn't have thought you a person who would do that."
Jisoo chuckled lightly. "Neither did many people but I found it interesting. I always looked at the stock market when I was a teenager and used to buy them with my dad. Predicting trends and pulling data...." Suddenly she sighed heavily. "I used to do a lot of things with my dad..."
Jennie lowered her hands to her lap. "What do you do now?"
Jisoo glanced at her with a small smile before looking back.
Jennie got the message. "I'm so sorry, Jisoo."
The raven just shrugged. "It's been 7 years. My heart just has a white scar on it now."
Jennie was afraid to ask. "Your mom?"
Jisoo stared ahead at the road. "Both of them died in a car accident."
