An Unusual Kidnapping

Emily POV

I awoke to five people arguing. I kept my eyes almost closed to see and listen in.

"...Can I date one of them?"a green boy whispered to a girl in a dark blue robe.

"No, Beast Boy! You don't even know what they're like!" the girl in blue yelled back.

"Guys, calm down! We know they have powers and they must be trained. We don't want them to help him," another boy with spiky hair interrupted. "Hush, I think she's waking up!"

"Ugh, what happened? Who are you guys? Why did you kidnap us?" Olivia couldn't help but ask questions.

The boy with spiky hair, who seemed to be the leader, answered. "We are the Teen Titans, a group of superheros, and we didn't kidnap you. We realized that you had powers and want to train you and keep you safe. Sorry we had to knock you out." He rubbed his neck apologetically.

"Keep us safe from who?" I asked.

"From The Animal King. He wants to turn himself and everyone else into animals." Beast Boy answered. The rest of the Teen Titans glared at him. "What? I wasn't supposed to say that, was I? Uh-oh."

"Whatever Beast Boy. Yeah, we think he is taking people and experimenting on them. If he got a hold of people with powers... well, nothing good would come from that. Oh and by the way," the spiky haired boy said, "I'm Robin."

The rest of the Teen Titans introduced themselves as Raven, the girl in blue, Cyborg, a half robot-half human, and Starfire, an alien with red hair. Just then, a boy wearing blue ran into the room.

"I heard we had some new recruits! And that one of them can control water," he winked at Olivia. "I'm Aqualad."

"Okay, we'll introduce you to one of the Teen Titans who we think will suit you and your powers best. You will have to beat them in a fight in order to gain a higher ranking. Please don't try to kill your opponent, as you will be put into prison if you do. The first person to admit defeat or black out loses. Olivia will be against Aqualad and Emily will be against Speedy. Good luck!"

And with that, we left to get ready for our fight.
