The Date

Emily POV

"So, Olivia, since Speedy asked Emily out, and, well, the last time they were alone together he kinda attacked her, well I was wondering if you wanted to go on a double date with them?" I heard Aqualad squeak to Olivia.

"Yeah! That sounds great!" I was glad that they were coming. I was a bit nervous about going somewhere alone with Speedy.

We decided to go to this Japanese restaurant for our date. It was called Sakura. It was kind of formal and kind of not, so Olivia helped me piece together an outfit. I was wearing a pair of jeans, with a black tank top, and a green and blue flannel over. I also had a black watch and dark blue Converse. She put my hair in curls/ waves and said I was good to go. When Olivia walked out of her room, she was wearing a blue tank top and black leggings, with blue heels. She had in a pair of creme and black earrings and she wore an assorted bracelet that I got her for her 13th birthday. Her hair was put into curls.

We met the boys at the T-car, which Cyborg had grudgingly allowed us to use. The boys had arrived earlier, and Speedy sat in the drivers seat with Aqualad sitting behind him. I took my seat next to Speedy, and Olivia took hers. We drove in silence for awhile, none of us really had anything to talk about.

In the restaurant, things weren't much better. We waited silently for our food. As it was being brought out, Olivia and Aqualad cringed.

"I-is that fish?" I hear Olivia mutter to the waiter.

"What did you think it would be? This is a sushi restaurant!" The waiter snapped.

"Speedy! That's the second time you've tried to get me to eat fish! I lived with them for my entire life!" Aqualad whispered angrily.

The waiter gave us a strange look. I shook my head at Speedy, but he just smiled slyly.

"Hey Olivia, maybe we should leave Emily and Speedy to their date. How 'bout you and I go somewhere else?" Aqualad asked as soon as the waiter left.

"Yeah, that sounds great." She cast me a longing gaze as she left. She shouldn't worry, I can handle myself now.

I actually enjoyed the date. I never thought I would ever even think of liking Speedy, but now that I don't see him as a complete psycho, I notice everything about him. The way he spends almost as much time on his hair as Robin. The way his light blue eyes shone when he took off his mask. The way his real name sounded on my tongue. Roy Harper.

The way I think I love him.

Olivia POV

Aqualad and I headed out to the pizzeria. We shared a wonderfully cheesy pizza as I thought about Emily.

I hoped she was okay. I know that she can handle herself, but I keep remembering the look of pain on her face when the arrow pierced her chest. I needed something to take my mind off of her.

"You wanna go catch a movie?" Aqualad asked, almost as if he knew exactly what I was feeling.

"That sounds great."

We watched The Scorch Trials before heading back to the Tower. I saw Emily and Speedy at the archery range, so their date must have gone well. I was happy for her.

I started to head inside when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Aqualad smiling at me. Before I realized why, I felt water start pouring on my head. Splash!

Water surrounded Aqualad and dragged him into the water. My ankles were consumed as the water pulled me in after him.

Hey! Coral! Help me! I shouted in telepathy.

Coming Olivia. I better get a treat for this. She replied.

I rode her through the bubbles until I found Aqualad riding Reef.

Race ya around the island! I said as I took off.

That's cheating! He yelled.

. . .

I slunk up to my room, still soaking wet. I still couldn't dry myself like Aqualad could, and he wouldn't do it or me because he says I have to learn soon, or I'll always be wet. He was right, but I was leaving puddles everywhere!

"So did you see that movie about constipation?" I heard Beast Boy say as I reached the top of the staircase. I turned to tell him I didn't, when I realized he was talking to Ani.

"No? I didn't even know they made one." Ani answered. She fell right into his trap.

"That's because it hasn't come out yet!" He burst out laughing, and to my surprise, so did Ani.

I guess love was in the air.

Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but I've been super busy with school. I hope to continue updating regularly, but it might take a while longer than usual. The stories almost over, but I wondered, should I make a sequel or another Teen Titans fanfiction? I'll only do it if people really want it, so please tell me what you think!
