I do not know what happened. But it happened fast.. too fast for anyone to process.

The scene before us was nothing short of horror, a nightmarish tableau that unfolded in the blink of an eye. As we entered the windmill, the sight that greeted us was devastating. Y/N lay motionless in a pool of blood, and Lucas knelt beside them, his hands stained crimson with their life essence.

My heart pounded in my chest as I witnessed this dreadful scene. I had seen my fair share of death and despair, but to see someone I knew so well in such a state was overwhelming. My eyes remained wide open, unable to tear away from the tragedy unfolding before me. I stood there, my body locked in a state of shock, as if the world was crumbling around me, and I was powerless to stop it.

The room felt suffocating, and it seemed as though time stood still as we all held our breaths, hoping against hope for a miracle.

Sandy acted swiftly, rushing past me to Y/N's side, and her movement snapped me out of my stupor. We all sprang into action, doing everything we could to save them. But the reality was grim; the wound seemed almost impossible to control. Each time Lucas released the pressure to assess the damage, the blood flowed even more freely.

"Shit," Lucas cursed, desperation etched across his face as he quickly applied pressure again. Y/N was losing too much blood, and we needed a solution, fast. But in that moment, my mind was blank, and I felt utterly helpless.

Lucas's suggestion of a blood transfusion sparked a glimmer of hope. "Oliver and Y/N have the same blood type. Maybe we can still save them with a transfusion?" he said, his voice tinged with anxiety.

"Got it," Sandy replied without hesitation, his determination unwavering as he hurriedly gathered the necessary supplies.

As the minutes ticked by, every second felt like an eternity. Our hearts were heavy with fear, uncertainty, and the weight of the situation. We clung to hope, praying that the transfusion would make a difference and that Y/N would pull through. But deep down, we all knew that sometimes, despite our best efforts, we had to accept the cruel whims of fate.

As Lucas looked at me, his eyes filled with urgency and hope, I felt a mix of panic and self-doubt. "Do you have any idea how to stop the bleeding?" he asked, seeking a solution in my hands.

My voice trembled as I shook my head helplessly. "I don't know. I don't know.." I muttered, feeling overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation.

But Lucas wasn't about to let me give up on myself so easily. He interrupted my faltering words, his voice unwavering and filled with belief. "Zack, I know you're shocked, and I know it feels like you can't help. But I know you, the brilliant kid you are. Trust yourself, just as I trust you. You know what to do."

His faith in me touched my heart, and I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts amidst the chaos. "The most common way to stop bleeding is by applying pressure to the wound, but that could be risky in this case," I began, my mind racing for alternatives. "If we put too much pressure, we could damage internal organs, especially with Y/N's injury."

Lucas listened intently, his mind also searching for a solution. "What if we use heat to 'melt' the tissue around the wound?" he suggested.

"Melt the tissue?" I repeated, slightly bewildered.

"Yes, heat can cauterize the wound, stopping the bleeding," he explained as he grabbed a lit candle and held a knife into the flame.

We moved quickly but carefully, aware that every moment counted. Lucas brought the heated knife closer to the wound, and a choked scream escaped Y/N's lips. The smell of burnt flesh filled the air, but miraculously, the bleeding seemed to slow down.
