POV Oliver

"Y/N! Where did you go? The hunt is over... Did something happen to you?" Panic engulfs me as I call out desperately. Fear grips my heart, and regret floods my mind. Why did we split up? What if something terrible has happened to them?

My feet carry me forward, driven by an overwhelming sense of urgency. "Y/N!" I yell, my voice trembling. "Please reply if you hear me! Y/N!"

The woods seem to close in around me, the darkness now filled with dread. Fear, regret, and despair churn inside me. Why did we ever separate? I pray silently, hoping for a response from Y/N.

"Where are you? You're doing well, right? Nothing happened to you... You just got lost again, right? Right, Y/N?" My thoughts are a jumbled mess as I continue to call out for them.

Lost in my frantic thoughts and barely paying attention to my surroundings, I stumble over a root and land hard on my face. "For fuck's sake! Today is not my day..." I mutter, feeling both frustrated and scared.

As I attempt to get up, my hand brushes against something on the ground. I recoil, and a sickening realization sets in. It's blood, mixed with mud. Whose blood is this? Dread fills my chest as I look around, trying to make sense of the situation.

A sudden, chilling shriek pierces the air, causing goosebumps to erupt all over my body. My heart pounds loudly in my ears as I spin around to face the source of the sound.

There he is, that monstrous figure I feared most—Leuvis. A sinister grin stretches across his face as he playfully licks his claws, pulling his hat down to cast a shadow over his menacing eyes. And lying before him on the ground is Y/N, motionless and defenseless.

Time seems to stand still as my breath catches in my throat. A mix of terror and anger surges within me, and without hesitation, I clench my fists, ready to face this abomination head-on. But deep down, I know the odds are stacked against me, and I fear this may be the end of our journey together.

My breath hitches in my throat, and my body feels like it's frozen in place. The sight before me is a nightmare—blood stains the ground around Y/N's motionless form. My voice trembles as I whisper their name in disbelief, trying to comprehend the horrifying reality unfolding in front of me.

Leuvis, the sadistic monster, bursts into maniacal laughter, reveling in the agony he has caused. His callousness enrages me, and hot tears stream down my cheeks as I clench my jaw, trying to suppress the overwhelming emotions surging within me.

I force myself to move toward Y/N, my steps unsteady and trembling. "Why are you not standing up, Y/N?" I ask in a trembling voice, my heart breaking at the sight before me.

As I approach them, Leuvis vanishes into thin air, leaving me alone with Y/N's lifeless body. Panic sets in as I try to comprehend what has just happened. "No, no, no, no, no," I whisper frantically, unable to accept the possibility of losing them.

My shaking hands press against the large wound on their upper body, hoping that somehow, I can stop the bleeding and save them. Y/N's eyes flutter, and I feel a glimmer of hope. "Y/N!" I cry out, my voice desperate and filled with anguish.

They are still alive, and I cling to that hope with all my might. "Don't worry. You'll be fine," I stammer, attempting to reassure both of us. But their sobs and struggling to speak send a shiver of fear through me.

"No. No last words, do you hear me? You are not dying," I plead, my voice breaking as tears fall onto their wound.

Y/N pushes my hand away, insisting on telling me something. "Ask?" I repeat, confused and trying to make sense of their request. I apply more pressure to the wound, trying to keep them stable.

"Mask..." they manage to breathe out, weakly pointing toward a nearby tree. I rush to the tree, and to my astonishment, I find Leuvis's mask lying there. How did it end up here?

Panicking, I hurry back to Y/N, wrapping my scarf around the wound with all the pressure I can muster. I lift them into my arms, cradling them gently, and sprint toward the windmill, desperation fueling every step.

"We can do this. Just stay awake, Y/N. Y/N?" I talk to them throughout the frantic journey. But as I steal a glance at their face, their eyes have already closed.

"No, Y/N! Y/N!" I cry out, shaking them gently. Bursting through the door of the windmill, I plead for help, praying that someone can save them before it's too late.

Lucas sits there, his calm demeanor momentarily shattered as his eyes widen in shock at the sight before him. "What happened?!" he bursts out, concern evident in his voice. I gently lay Y/N down, my hands trembling as I try to wake them. "Y/N, wake up... you're not dying on me today!" I plead desperately, hoping my words can reach them.

Lucas takes quick action, kneeling down beside Y/N and swiftly removing the scarf wrapped around the wound. "Shit, you need to get Zack," he instructs urgently. "Hurry!" he yells at me, snapping me out of my trance.

Without a moment's hesitation, I dash through the village, past the crying children and the injured, searching for Zack. My face must convey the gravity of the situation because as soon as he sees me, shock registers on his face. Sandy peeks around Zack, and his expression turns to one of concern mixed with dread.

"What happened?!" Zack asks, his voice filled with worry. I find myself unable to form coherent words, my breaths coming in quick gasps. We run together, Zack following my lead, knowing that something terrible has occurred, and Sandy, determined to help in any way he can, joins us on our hurried journey. The sense of urgency drives us forward as we race back to where Lucas is tending to Y/N, hoping that we can do something to save them before it's too late.
