It ends here

I stare down at the ash in my lap. The ash of what was once my best friend. Anger raged inside me.
"I am going to kill that bitch" I slowly stand up. I don't recognize my voice.
"Emily?" Loki frowns, confused.
"You... you're..." Sif stutters.
"Emily, are you... alright? Your eyes look like they are on fire," Thor points to my eyes. I couldn't hear them. It was like they were a million miles away.
"Stay out of my way," Before they can react, before they can do anything, I take off after Frigga and Dracula. My grief blazes through me like fire in my veins as my friends race after me.

I storm through byzantine passages of the opera house but a team of Frigga's vampire security guards rushed to intercept me
"By order of the Goddess, stand down,"
"Drop your weapons, now," The guard's hands flick out, revealing electrified batons. Like that would stop me.
"GET. OUT. OF. MY. WAY!" Before they can even speak, I leap forward. Smashing my knee into the first guard's chest and pile-driving him into the ground.
"Get her!" The other guards charge, batons sparking and my friends leap to meet them. But I move faster than them and with dizzying grace and precision, my body a force I can barely understand. I smash one guard into the ground, toss another into the ceiling and knock the legs out from a third while flipping over a fourth.
"I SAID... GET. OUT. OF. MY. WAY!" With every word, I punched a guard in the face.
"Damn," Thor's jaw dropped.
"I know I shouldn't be turned on right now but that was hot," Loki muttered. Sif snapped at him that now wasn't the time to be thinking that and I was losing myself.
"Stand down!" One of the last guards standing rushes at me, and I effortlessly kick his legs, shattering his shins. He crumples, shrieking.
"Stay down," The brawl is over as quickly as it started. The vampire guards lay around us, wounded, moaning. I glare at them, burning within "These cowards. These... vermin. How can they serve the monster that killed Melody?" White hot fury pulsates as I snap off a lance of wood. "This will do nicely. jagged and sharp,"
"Emily..." Loki moved closer but I moved away.
"You want to serve your Goddess? Then wait for her in hell!" I scream. But before anyone can stop me, I grab the first guard, driving the stake into his chest. He gasps loudly as he flutters to ash. The guard next to me tries to crawl away.
"No... No," The guard holds her hands up. But I am on her in a flash, staking her too.
"Emily, Stop this!" Thor screams.
"They will all die!" I yell, stabbing the bitch.
"Emily, stop. they're..." Loki says something, but I only heard part of him. I don't hear any of my friends, their pleas are lost to the roar of blood in my ears. I weave through the room, killing one after another. I can't stop. I can't think. I just want them to die. Panting for breath, I look down at the corpses that are beginning to turn to ash. But I feel no regret. Just satisfaction. Someone grabs me but I use my psychic power to blast them away. I don't know who I blasted. I don't know if it was a guard or one of my friends. I heard the crash and a curse word but I just didn't bother to look, I didn't care.
"Is her switch on?" I heard Thor speaking.
"It has to be off at this point," Sif replied.
"You should know that my humanity switch is on. I just don't care," I growled "Who's next?" When no one answered, I relaxed a little, not caring about the blood dripping from my hands.

I turn to move toward the stage, to Frigga. When a throwing knife comes streaking across the room. It nails me in the side, hard and bounces off.
"I guess your prototype worked," Sif speaks from behind me. The impact is hard enough that it knocks me out of my trance, jerking me back to my real self "That's all we had to do?"
"That hurt!" I turn to look where it came from and see Dracula "You..." my lip curls over my teeth.
"This ends here. BloodKeeper," He raises his hands, fanning out with a half-dozen more throwing knives, all razor sharp. He moves, hurling all the knives my way.
"Nice try," I throw up a hand, channelling Rocket's combat training, to freeze all the knives mid-air, their blades pointed at me.
"That's cheating!" Dracula complained. Hypocrite.
"I will do whatever it takes to win," I sighed, tilting my head "If you think that this is cheating, then try this," I flick my hand back, hurtling the knives at Dracula. They clip his face, stab through his shoulder and send him scrambling.
"Damnit!" Dracula reaches into his shirt for another set of knives and I see my chance to strike. I bound across the room. I jab a fist forward, had, shattering Dracula's nose "No! My face. My beautiful face!"
"Trust me when I say that was an improvement," My hands shoot out, grabbing Dracula's head and I slam him, hard, into a wooden crate. It shatters explosively, shards flying everywhere, as he hits the ground and lays limp. I loom over him, as he cowers and moans. I can feel that anger return, raging and furious, a tempest of flames surging within me "You... you are the fucking reason,"
"I'm what?" Dracula pretended to look innocent "I have done nothing but serve our Goddess,"
"You are the reason my best friend is dead!"
"N... no... I..." Dracula whimpers. I punched his face again, making him lose a few teeth.
"You stopped me when I had Frigga at my mercy! You did this!"
"Please! NO! I was just following orders," Dracula tried to stop me. No one can stop me.
"Like when you were following the Black Order's orders?" I grab him by his hair and smash his head into the floor "You need to pay..."
"What about the night we spent together? The sex was good, wasn't it? Surely that sex deserves some mercy?"
"It was not that good. I got what I needed from it, which was your necklace. And FYI, I got more enjoyment eating a cold cheese sandwich," I scoffed.
"Please don't kill me! I'm too young to die," Dracula begs. I raise my hand and a jagged wooden fragment of the crate streaks up into it.
"This is for Melody," I whisper in Dracula's ear. He lets out a scream as I drive the fragment down, cleans through his chest, like a nailing hammering through a plank "Your legacy is over. You are nothing but ash," I smirk as he crumples to dust.

I pant heavily as I look over my shoulder. The others are still staring at me, wary.
"Emily... you might want to take a moment. You need to calm down," Sif holds her hands up, showing that she means no harm.
"No. Not a fucking chance. We have to stop Frigga and we have to do it now!" But as I take a step forward, a hand reaches out, gently grasping my shoulder.
"Emily, wait..." His jacket and shirt were smokey and slightly torn. Did I... Did I hit Loki with my blast? "I know you are angry. I am too. Frigga needs to pay for what she did to Melody But whatever happens out there... we need to make sure we make it through it. We need to make sure we are ourselves," I hear his voice but my anger is stronger. I brush Loki's hand aside, still feeling that smouldering rage.
"She killed Melody. She dies. Now!" I storm off.

With the others trailing behind, still staring at me uneasily. I finally make my way up toward the stage. But my companions don't move. They just stop, twitching as if they have been frozen in place.
"What is wrong with you guys?" I frown.
"I... Can't... move..." Sif's jaw clenched.
"... Something is... stopping us... being... held..." Loki grits his teeth. Thor's eyes move to his left. I turn and see what is causing the guy's immobility.
"Sylvie. The other lap dog," I hiss. Sylvie stands in a doorway, a pained expression on her face. the last of Frigga's followers to oppose me. Her hands are extended, one towards my friends to freeze them in place, the other toward me, ready to blast me with a psychic blast.
"Emily. Don't do this. Please. I don't know why you are doing this but I can not let you hurt Frigga. She's my Goddess. She is building a better world for me, for you... for all vampires,"
"Sylvie, she is lying to you. She doesn't care about us. About any of us. She just wants power for herself," I frown.
"No. You're lying!" She places a hand over her stomach, right where the Black Order's harpoon stabbed her "After what the Black Order did to me, after what I suffered. I want peace. I want safety. And that is what Frigga will give us all. Don't you understand that?" I grit my teeth and shake my head "She killed Medusa by sucking her dry and now she killed Melody. What kind of peace and safety is that?"
"Emily, please don't make us hurt you. Please..." Sylvie pleaded one last time. As if she could. We stare at one another, hands outstretched, ready to fight. I wonder if maybe, just maybe, I can save her from Frigga's control. I drop my empty hands to my sides, showing her I don't mean to fight.
"Sylvie... you're better than this. I know you are. You know the truth. Somewhere deep inside, you know it. Frigga isn't our saviour or our Goddess," Certainly not mine. I didn't even believe in God as a human "She is just another selfish monster who only cares about herself,"
"No! She saved us! She destroyed the Black Order,"
"Frigga did it for selfish reasons. It was all for control. To gain loyalty and to dispose of the people that stood in her way. She doesn't care about others, Sylvie. Not even other vampires. She lost that capacity a long ass time ago. All she cares about now is power and vengeance," I sighed. Sylvie shakes her head, eyes pinched.
"I can't believe that of her. I can't..."
"Just take a look around, Sylvie. Look at all the chaos and bloodshed she's already caused. She will keep killing and her body count will climb higher and higher. It will never stop. She will drown the world in blood," I take one step closer to Sylvie. A tear falls from her eyes as she struggles for breath.
"I... the things she's done... I thought, maybe, it was all for the greater good... but..."
"Sylvie, where Frigga is concerned, there is no such thing as a greater good. For her, perhaps but not for us. You must have felt it, right? The cruelty in her? The fury? That ravenous hunger below it all?"
"I... ever since her bacchanalia, I have noticed a change in her but..." Sylvie's hands drop to her side. The others stumbled forward with a gasp, relieved to be free. Except for Thor, who fell face-first onto the floor "Sorry,"
"A small warning would have been helpful!" he grumbled. Loki steps forward, placing a hand on Sylvie's shoulder.
"Sylvie, we are on your side,"
"Join us. Stand with us. We are on your side," Sif stands on the other side of her "It's not too late," After a long painful minute, she speaks.
"I'm... I'm sorry," Sylvie collapses, tears streaming down her cheeks "I just... I needed this... I needed her. She's so powerful... so persuasive... I was... so afraid..."
"I know. We all were. this isn't your fault," I put a hand on her shoulder and she covers it gratefully with her own.
"I think at one point, I was more afraid of Emily than Frigga," Thor mumbles in Loki's ear. Loki agreed "And you get to marry her one day,"
"Don't make me stake you,"
"Thank you, Emily. I... I will help in whatever way I can," Sylvie sniffed.
"Guard the door while we take care of Frigga,"
"I'll see you again, right?"
"It's a promise," I nod. The others come and stand by my side. there are no obstacles left. Just Frigga herself "Now where is that bitch?" Sylvie pointed behind her.
"Main stage,"

And just like that, I march forward, onto the stage where Frigga stands in the middle, an expression of unbridled divine bliss on her face. Her arms outstretched. The audience, 10,000 people, stare at her in reverent awe. They don't acknowledge us when we enter. They are just staring, mesmerized, utterly under a spell. The slaughter hasn't begun yet. but I feel as if it is about to.
"FRIGGA!" I scream. Frigga groans as she swivels towards me, nostrils flaring with rage.
"Come for more pain, then?" At the sight of her, tears burn my eyes as my heart thunders with pain and fury.
"How could you? HOW COULD YOU!?"
"What do you mean? Oh, you mean, How could I kill your little friend? HA! That was just the beginning," Frigga moves, quick as a flash, a blur. Suddenly, she's at the far side of the stage. In one of her hands, she holds a stake and on the other hand, is Love.
"Love?" I gasp. I look at others. Okay, I was not expecting Frigga to use a child against us.
"Miss Emily! Help! HELP!" Love begs, trying to push Frigga away. What is it with assholes kidnapping children?
"Let the girl go, Frigga!" Loki comes to my side. He has always had a soft spot when it comes to children in trouble.
"No. I don't think I will," Frigga grabs the stake forward, its tip pressing into Love's chest, causing a little bit of blood "I suggest that you all stand down. Now. Or this little one dies,"
"Frigga, you hurt her and you are dead," I warn, holding up my hand. Ready to psychic blast the bitch.
"Actually, no. If I hurt her, she is dead," Frigga strokes Love's hair "Now, you have five seconds to get on your knees. One... Two... Three... Fou--" But before she can finish, a shadow streaks down behind her, a figure in black with metal gleaming bright "HHHCKK" Frigga gasps, staggering as a sword cuts her arm clean off the shoulder. The stake falls to the floor and Love runs to me.
"Miss Emily," Love Sobs, wrapping her little arms around me.
"Run that way. Go find Sylvie. Go!" I gently push Love away and she takes off, tripping over a wire. Sylvie rushes in, grabs Love and runs back out. I turn back to Frigga. Blood sprays from the severed stump. She turns to see Odin, smirking. I was wondering where he got to. I looked at Loki and he shrugs.
"Hello, Frigga," Odin speaks with a resting bitch face.
"Hello to you too, darling," The blood trickling down Frigga's side seems to stop, freezing mid-air like a crimson icicle. It twists midair, spiralling together, forming within seconds the circulatory system of an arm. then the bone, the muscles, the skin and almost instantly, Frigga's arm is restored.
"What the fuck?" My jaw dropped. I look back to the others "Can all vampires do that or is that just her thing?"
"Her thing," Sif sighed.
"Oh. my. god," Thor and Loki both speak. Odin alone is unimpressed. He jabs the sword forward, aiming for her chest but Frigga catches his blade effortlessly. She snaps it like a twig, shattering it in half and drives Odin to his knees.
"Aggghhhh!"
"My sad little soldier. Pathetic to the very end,"
"I killed for you. I fought for you. I loved you," Odin goes to grab Frigga but she slaps him away.
"And now, my pet, you will die for me," Frigga reaches out a hand to Odin's head and he screams in agony as his blood streams out through his skin, and his veins throb and pulse. And even as she drains the life from him, Odin's eyes meet mine and I understand.
"He's making himself a diversion!" I think in my head. I am not going to let the moment pass. If he dies, he dies. No skin on my nose. I take off sprinting, we all do, towards Frigga. But she pivots, seeing me and snarls.
"You are all pathetic!" There's a surge of energy, raw and curdled. Next to me, my friends drop one at a time.
"Not... this again," Thor grabs his head. It was like what Odin did to them in the MET.
"N... No..." Loki whimpers.
"Not... now," Sif winces. And I feel it within me too. Her power, burrowed through my veins, like wires under my skin. But I press on, pushing through the pain, through the power, that terrible, raw power.
"You might... control the others... but not... ME!" I ran forward and rugby tackled her to the ground and punched her nose a few times before I shot out a hand, grabbing Frigga's wrist.

And I pull her into the void that is my mind palace. I didn't fancy going into her mind. God knows what I will find. Portals float around us.
"What... what the hell is this place? Where are we?" She flares a hand my way and nothing happens. I smirk as she flicks her wrist a few times too "I don't understand... my powers. How are you doing this?"
"BloodKeeper, remember? We are in my world, bitch and we are going to play by my rules," I raise my hand and clench my fists. chains shoot out of nowhere, binding Frigga's arms and dragging her down. She glares at me.
"Clever. But sooner or later, we will have to go back to the real world. You're just stalling for time," Frigga strains against her bonds.
"True. But how much time do you think I need before one of my friends snaps out of their trance and runs you through with the black dagger?" I cross my arms. Frigga lunges at me, straining against the chains.
"You have no right to that! To Baldr!"
"Oh, you dumb bitch. He offered me his blood, Frigga. Because he knew I had to stop you,"
"Then he doesn't understand! This is my destiny! This is why I was created! To end the plague of humans! To usher in a new era, an era without pain. Without loss!"
"Without pain! You're a hypocrite, Frigga. How many people have you killed? How many vampires? How many innocents? And for what?"
"For vengeance! For blood! For my Freyja! The humans killed her! They burned her alive! They have to pay... every single last one of them! I will--"
"They didn't kill her," Time seems to stop. Frigga stares at me, her face a tempest of emotion... anger, disbelief... surprise.
"What did you say?"
