Guilty or not Guilty

Courtney's POV

Today I was back on court for the final time, and today I was being found guilty or not guilty. I really hope I'm not found guilty because it was an accident and self defence so I'll have to wait and see. I got out of my warm bed and for dressed into my black dress with black tights and my blazer. I slipped on my black vans, I didn't care if they weren't smart enough, my ankles are swollen and they hurt to wear anything else so if the court moans I'll have to say my ankles are swollen and these are the only shoes I can wear. I was ready by half 9 and we had to be at court by 10 mum phoned Michelle to see if Steve would drive us and lucky he said yes so we rushed out locking the door and then got in the car and he drove us their. We got their 10 minutes early and thanked Steve. We walked in and I was told to follow my lawyer and I did. The court session began "today we are heat to see of miss Courtney Conner is found guilty or not guilty"the judge mentioned and I was shaking slightly "I am aware that you have came up with you decision" the judge asked the jury "your honor we have came to a decision" one of the people say "and is this decision on what you all agree with" the judge asked and they all nod. This was it. I'm going to be told if I'm guilty or not this is scary. "Do you find Courtney Conner guilty or not guilty on the grounds of murder" the judge asked the jury and their was a long pause "not guilty" the jury said after the long pause I see mum and Michelle smile while I stay waiting "and do you find Courtney Conner guilty or not guilty on the grounds of manslaughter" the judge asked the jury and I freeze. What if found guilty now. Their was another long pause "not guilty" they said again and I sigh a small sigh of relief "we require her to do 250 hours of community service though, weather it's helping out in the local community centre, sweeping roads or anything like that" I was told and then handed a book to get my hours signed off in. I was let go and I literally ran to mum and aunt chelle. "Can we go to the toilets" I ask mum despite to go to the toilet mum says yes and then we head to the toilet. Mum and aunt chelle were walking behind and talking about something but I didn't know what they were talking about. We got to the toilets and I went in while mum and Michelle wait outside.

Carla's PoV

We were going to hold a congratulations party, she wanted to not get put always any everyone was on her side. Michelle phoned Liz and told her to prepare the rovers. We had already brought everything and what we would need for the party. We had planned it in case she was found innocent and in our case she was. "She could do some of her hours cleaning at the rovers" Michelle suggested to me. I thought it was a good idea because she could have someone keep an eye on her just in case she finds something stupid.

Courtney's POV

I walked out the toilet and met mum and aunt chelle outside. "Right I was thinking we could go and get some things for the baby" mum suggested and I nod "we need a lot but I want to get gender neutral colours because I want the gender to be a surprise" I say to mum "that's a good idea" mum says and smiles the three of us walk out of the court place and go to catch the bus to town "mother care first" I say and aunt chelle and mum nod we walk to mother care after getting off the bus and I go and look at the cots and mouses baskets (sp). I I find this white coloured cot with has cows and sheep on and I smile, I pick up the ticket for the cot and hold it. Mum had picked up some babygrows and a teddy which rattled and aunt chelle had picked out some dummy's, babygrows a teddy which was like the one I brought him a few weeks back and bibs. "Should we get a buggy now" I ask mum and she nods so I walk over to the buggys and see this black one with white inside and it was kinda fluffy so that it would keep the little one warm and I picked up the ticket for that one too and then picked up a few blankets for it and a water proof thing. "Is this everything" I ask mum and she thinks for a moment "let's get a trolley and put this in then we need to get some teething rings, changing Matt, highchair, changing bag, bottles. Dummy clips to clip the dummy's to their baby grows, travel chair,and anything else you want to get you little one" mum tells me beforeI grab a trolley before heading back to mum she had for the cot and buggy boxes to put them in the trolley along with the babygrows, two teddys, dummy's blankets and the waterproof things. I push the trolley over to the highchairs and put a white and blue one into the trolley because it looked really pretty. I then get a black travel chair/car seat and the teething rings. Also I get a big elephant teddy with a smaller one and put them in the trolley a few books to read to the bean. And then we went to pay it came to £205 and I was shocked, I didn't even think it would be that much. When we had paid we got a taxi back to the cobbles.

Back on the cobbles mum helped me take everything up to the flat and we put it inside before we went to the rovers. It was all quite in their today which made me think that they were up to something. We walked Into the rovers and everyone jumped out from every nook and cranny shouting 'congratulations' and I was taken back "congratulations on surviving a week at court" maddie said coming over to me and giving me a hug followed by Sophie doing the same thing "so what do you need to do" Liz asks me "community service for 250 hours over all and have go get it filled out in my book want I've been given and left at home." I tell her "you can do some hours here if you want to"Liz asks so I nod slightly. The party went on for a while and I had a pain in my stomach they felt like nothing I've had before. They didn't feel like the baby was kicking. I decided I wanted to go home and go to bed. I go to bed after getting changed into a pair of jogging bottoms and a vest

*a week later*

Today was my 20 week scan also known as my 5 month scan, I've got four months left and my birthdays in 3 months I'm going to be 16. I got ready for my scan and said to mum I was going on my own. I left the flat and got the bus to the hostpital. When I got to the hospital I went the maternity ward and booked in. I was soon called through and I rolled my top up while the midwife checked the little one "would you like to know the sex of the baby" the midwife asks me and I say no. So she prints of my ultrasounds and I went back to the street. I went to the factory first and entered "how'd the scan go" mum asks as I enter "little one is healthy' I say handing mum one of my ultrasound "I'm going to go and give one to aunt chelle so Ill come back later" I say to mum before leaving again and going to give aunt chelle my ultrasound scan

I've changed Courtney's age to 15 and turning 16 a month before she Is due to give birth.
