"hey dream, do you wanna watch a movie?" the brunet asked, a grin on his face. the blond didn't even turn from his placement of staring at his computer, editing a video, before replying,

"maybe later." was all he replied with, george tried to hide the disappointment on his face, not like he had to as his boyfriend wasnt even paying attention to him.

sighing, george decided to watch the movie anyways, snuggling up on the couch, wishing dream was there holding him. despite that, he turned on the movie making a bag of popcorn to go with.

when the movie ended half the bag of popcorn remained. george knew that if dream was there with him it would be empty as they would share and the brunet tends to eat better with the blond with him, such a silly observation but it was there.

this continued for about a week, george constantly wanting to spend time with his boyfriend, but to no avail. he would only get turned down, and sometimes not even in a nicely put way, even getting ignored at times.

george would ask him if he wanted to have a bath together, go out an eat, or even making food together to enjoy, watch movies, or just cuddle.

it was truly upsetting, and george was lost. did he do something?

they had always shared a bed, always falling asleep in each others arms, but george hasn't felt that comfort in over a week. every time he would try he gained nothing from it.

   "goodnight dream, i love you."

a hum was heard before a rushed, "love you. i'll join you in bed in a bit."

george felt a smile crawl on his face, despite how tired he was, he would stay up for dream. the brown eyed boy watched youtube, read a book, and watched a show, but no one ever joined him.

george gave up, letting the unconscious mind take over, falling asleep.

dream never joined him in bed that night.

george felt a wave of sadness hit him as he woke up to no presence beside him.

the brunet was done. he would wait till dream came to him, george was probably just annoying him after all.

having no motivation, george laid in bed all day, not asking dream to spend time with him.

༺☆༻

dream groaned as he woke up in an uncomfortable position, back aching. his head was using his keyboard as a pillow, for the third time this week. other times he would drag himself to the small couch that his boyfriend would lay on when the blond was working.

speaking of his boyfriend, he hadn't seen much of him this past week. the green eyed boy only saw him for short moments.

—and thats when he realized. every time george would want to do something he would only respond with, "later," or blatantly ignoring him.

   he fucked up.

dream checked his phone to see what time it was, the device read, 4:37.

now, it cant be 4:37 in the morning, no, the sun was shining through the thin curtains, eliminating the office with light.

"fuck," dream mumbled as he quickly stood up, ignoring the pain in his back, practically sprinting to his and georges shared room.

hastily opening the door, he noticed nothing but darkness, the blackout curtains really doing justice. dream felt his heart churn for the worst, george never stayed in bed this late.

when turning on the light, he noticed tear stains on his lovers beautiful face. the blond went over to the sleeping boy, kissing his forehead, "im so sorry, angel." he whispered.

the taller got into bed with george, softly bringing him in by his waist, holding him like he should've every night.

he got so caught up in work that he forgot about everything. he forgot about his boyfriend.

dream felt george shuffle, "dream..?" he mumbled, confused.

"george, im so sorry. i got caught up with work, i never meant for this to happen, i love you so much, angel."

george laughed, yes, laughed. maybe it was because he was tired or maybe it was because he missed having dream so close to him, "shut up and let me sleep, idiot."

dream halfheartedly scoffed, how could he forgive him after what he did? despite feeling guilty, he followed georges wishes, cuddling him to sleep.

that was over a month ago. they were doing better than ever, some might say that the situation even brought them closer. throughout late night talks, wholesome dates, movie nights, making food together, and even just being there with each other, they figured it out.

george could never stay mad at dream, vise versa. they had shared too many amazing memories for that.
