"One of you? How?" Yugo asked, stunned and confused.

"We first met Sect back in the old days, when we still lived like surviving everyday on scraps." Nerve said. "He seemed like an okay guy at the time. Got no bad vibes off of him at all. Then one day, around two years ago, he left and never came back."

"Last we heard, Sect took off due to not getting in with Kiryu's old team. He took it pretty hard." Blitz added. "He was a different person at the time."

"Yeah, he wasn't anything like how he was tonight." Taka said, looking down at Sect. "I totally don't get it."

"So you guys never knew about him being a Psychic Duelist? Or about him being able to talk to bugs?" Yugo questioned. They all shook their heads.

"Hell no. We didn't know any of that." Taka told him.

"That was a side of him we had never seen." Blitz added. "Who knows how long he's been able to do that."

"Like I care about it right now!" Rally interjected angrily. "What I want to know is why he just tried to kill us all tonight!" They all agreed with him.

"The Sect we remember could never have acted the way he did just now." Nerve said, still not quite believing how this could be.

"Well... he did." Yugo said bluntly. "He may have been a friend back in your day, but he ain't nobody's friend now." Rally and his friends did not know how to respond.

"Look! The enemy Duelist is down! Move in!" Just then, a squad of officers rushed inside the facility and wasted no time in apprehending Sect. They quickly handcuffed him and stuck some kind of metal ring on top of his head.

"What the hell's that thing?" Yugo asked as he pointed at the object.

"It's a Psy Dampener. It was designed to suppress the abilities of a Psychic Duelist. The Public Security Maintenance Bureau made these shortly after learning of Divine's escape as a means of disabling him and those like him." The lead officer explained.

"So now he can't do his talking bug thing again?" Taka asked.

"No, not while he's wearing the dampener. That also includes his ability to cause real damage." Said another officer.

It was then that Sect finally stirred. When he woke up, he was shocked and outraged of the loss of his mask and that his hands were cuffed. "H-Hey! What the frak is this?! I didn't want my face to be seen by the likes of you! How dare you?!" He tried, and failed, to break free and make a run for it. Two officers held him tight so he couldn't escape. "You morons can't hold me! Come my friends! Free your master and show these idiots what retribution feels like!" To his horror, none of the remaining bugs he tried to contact came to his aid. He tried again, only to get the same result. "What is going on?! Why won't my friends help me?"

"It's because of that thing on your head." Yugo told him. "No stinking bugs helping you this time." Sect was even more furious.

"No! That's impossible! Nothing can stop my power! Nothing!" He shouted, angrier than before.

"Well that ring thing just did." Rally told him. "But Sect, why would you do this? I thought you were our friend. We thought you were Yusei's friend. Why would you become this wacko obsessed with killing people?!"

"Yeah, what the hell happened to you Sect?" Nerve demanded as well.

Sect growled and sneered at them. "You chumps had no idea what I'd been through! None of you know nothing about me!"

"Then tell us!" Taka shouted.

Sect gave them all a look of disdain, and gave Yugo the dirtiest expression he could muster. Then he grunted. "Heh. If you insist..."
