Spencer's Pov:

"He's been out there for too long." Luna said looking out the window for Garrett. "It's been less than ten minutes." Everett spoke. Luna walks away from the window to the door, "He's got the gun." Harlan said following her with his eyes. "I'm going out." She rushed to the door. Right as she got there, Garrett came through the door, "Couldn't find anything out there. Are you sure about the cop?" Garrett asked. We all follow him, "Yeah, one second the guy's standing there, slamming my head into the wall, and the next he's gone." Harlan explained, I felt my heart drop. "Gone meaning dead." I exclaimed, "Let's not jump to conclusions. Whatever happened to him, we're gonna find out." He put the rifle on the table as I stopped walking, standing by Harlan the twins. I sigh, rubbing my eyes. "None of you have seen anything like that before, like ever?" Blake questioned. "I told you, this is all new to us too." Luna spoke softly. I look at her, "So we're safe?" I ask, biting my nails, "It's not gonna kill us?" "Not if we're part of its pack." Luna said looking at me, "It's protecting us." "From what, a shitty cop?" Blake exclaimed. "How do we know it's not still comeing after us?" "We don't." Garrett spoke walking past them, "So we're gonna figure out some things out, how to keep you safe, how to protect ourselves." He cocked back the rifle as the bullet dropped out of the chamber. We just stare at it, I lean against the couch with my arms crossed. He cracked open a beer, "Yes, it's silver. Which actually doesn't make for a very good bullet. Metal is not as dense as lead, which affects the accuracy." He finished, "You made it youself?" I question. He takes a deep breath, "I made about 50 of them. Bought the silver bullion online, learned how to cast the bullets." I nod, I thought it was cool. "We're never really gonna use them, right?" Luna questioned also, "No. Well, possibly." He hesitated. "You have to remember, when I found the two of you, you were both cubs." Garrett explained to the twins. "Wait, they were what?" Everett asked in concern, "Wolf cubs." I answered his question, looking at him. Garrett nodding in agreement, "That's how I found them. I brought them home thinking I would drop them off at a wolf sanctuary and that would be it." We just listen in amusement. "So how'd they get like that?" "To be honest, I don't know how it happened." He shrugged his shoulders. "So you made silver bullets just in case we turned back into wolves?" Harlan says in frustrated, I look at him, feeling his frustation. Everyone just watches him as he walks in front of the table he was behind, "I had no fucking idea what you were gonna turn into. I didn't know who or what you were, and I was alone." I nod, understanding where he was coming from. "Did I eventually find out the truth, that the two of you are every bit as human as me and anyone else? Yeah, of course." he explained. "But you kept the bullets." Luna said disappointed, "And the gun loaded." Harlan finished after Luna, "Now you know why." It goes quiet, "Our real father." "I'm sorry, this is probably not even something you guys are even thing about right now, but are we gonna turn into that? That thing that's your real father?" Everett exclaims, freaking out. "I doubt it." I say shrugging. I was being honest, I don't know how this shit works but I know somethings from books I've read but I didn't think it'd turn into reality. "That's not my father." Luna shakes her head, turning away from us, "Then what is it?" Harlan questions, looking at his sister. "It's a killer." Garrett said looking the the five of us. "I don't know if silver bullets actually kill werewolves, but I have a feeling we're gonna find out."

Me, Everett, and Blake were about to leave the house, "Hey Spence." I turn to Harlan, "Hm?" "Can I get your number? If that's cool with you? I wanna get to know you more." He explained.  I smile, "Yeah, sure." I grab his phone, putting my number in. I give it back, "Text me whenever." "For sure, see you around." I smile, feeling butterflies in my stomach. This boy makes me feel something I've never felt before and it was amazing.

We're in the car with Garrett taking us home. "I'm taking you home. Tomorrow you're going to school, just like everyone else." "I can't do it. I can't go back to school tomorrow." Everett exclaims. I sat in the back with him while Blake was in the front. "If they're reopening the schools, you need to be there. You have to act like everythings normal, all of you." I heard Blake scoff, "Normal, for real?" I chuckle, "And no more answering calls from numbers you don't recongnize." "Then why is he helping us?" Everett questioned. "I'm not so sure he is." Garret exclaimed, "I'm with Garrett on this one, guys." I raise my hand, fully on Garretts side. I have't gotten a call from him but I still don't trust this guy. It's silent the rest of the car ride. I lean my head on the window, watching the trees as it was blurry as the car was driving.
