Spencer's Pov:
Me, Blake, Harlan, and Luna are going to Everett's house to talk about what happened at the parking garage. We got to Everett's and knocked on the door as he opens, "It's okay. They're gone." We walk inside and head to the kitchen, "Did they find the cop?" I ask walking behind Blake, "My dad says he hasn't heard anything. All ramsey saw was the blood of the tree." Luna explained behind me. "They think he was drunk and probably hurt himself." Harlan explains what they think happened. "But that was days ago." Everett said, "And no ones found his body. The cop's dead. Our brother could've died too if Everett didn't get to him first." I say. We all stand don each side of the counter, I stand in between Blake and Harlan, "But why would it go after a little kid?" Harlan questioned. "Because he hit me." I explain sighing, "It's like you said. It's protecting us." "Protecting it's pack." Luna said, "I got upset with Danny and grabbed him to stop him from breaking the monitor then he hit me in the face." I explain. I feel Harlan's eyes on me as I explained what happened. "Maybe it was watching. It picked up on your emotions, like how we picked up on Everett's anxiety." Luna exclaimed. "Then it definitely killed the cop for slamming my head against the wall, because I was pretty pissed about that." My eyes widen as I didn't know that happened. "So now, it doesn't wanna kill us, just anyone who threaten or hurts us?" Blake spoke beside me, "What about Connor? He was bitten. Why isn't he a part of the pack?" Everett questioned, "Didn't you say his bite was different? Like it didn't have the same effect?" Harlan asked. "I think it was his leg. He had a broekn leg, remember?" Luna exclaimed, "Meaning what? He was to weak to be in the pack?" Everett questioned again, "What do you do to a horse with a broken leg?" Luna says, "You put it down." Harlan finished. We hear a buzzing, I look to where it's coming from and Everett is pulling his phone out. We see it's 'No Caller ID', it's him. "Is it him?" Luna asks, "It's the only "No Caller ID" I get." Everett explained. "Don't answer it" I say, "Why not?" Blake asked, looking at me. "Garrett said not to." I added, "Okay but the first time he called, he helped me. He told me to run and it probably saved my life." he continues, "What if he's trying to help us again?" He added. "I honestly don't think he's helping." I spoke up after being quiet, listening. "Why?" Everett asked, "Why would Connor leave the hospital all of a sudden? I gurantee that he called Connor and told him he is gonna die and to leave the hospital. We don't know what bit Connor or what happened when he was on the highway, but if he didn't call him, Connor would still be alive and safe in the hospital but the voice on the phone got him killed. It's just what I think about this situation." I finish. After I explain my theory, Luna's phone starts going off. She grabs it, and he's not calling her since Everett didn't answer. "Has he ever called you before?" I question, "Never." She says, now Harlans phone is ringing. "Fuck it." He says, answering it. I watch as a high pitched ring shots through his ear grunting and holding it in pain. I put my hand on his arm with a worried look, "You okay?" I say quietly. He looks at me and nods to reassure me he's okay. My phone starts buzzing and this is the first time he's called me. I pulled it out and set it on the counter. I close my eyes and sigh as I hestitate to answering it. I eventually click the green button and he immediately starts talking, "He took the flight, and on the silent plains, is howling in his vain attempts to speak. He raves and rages. And his greedy jaws, desiring their accustomed slaughter, turn against the sheep, still eager for their blood. His vesture separates in shaggy hair. His arms are changed into legs. And as a wolf, he has the same gray locks, the same hard face, the same bright eyes, the same ferocious look." He hangs up. "The fuck was that?" Harlan questioned, "Ovid." I reply. "The guy on the phone?" "No, the Roman poet. It's the story of Lycaon. He was the king of Arcadia. He built a temple to honor Zeus but tried feeding him huma flesh. Zeus didn't like that, so he destroyed his kingdom with lightning bolts and turned Lycaon into a wolf." Luna finished explaining, "Lycaon as in lycanthrope. He was the first werewolf." Everett exclaimed. My phone goes off again as it still sits on the counter. I answer it, "He kills every night." He starts, "Okay. Who the fuck are you and what do you want?" Harlan spoke annoyed, leaning against the counter beside me. "At the moment, I'm your teacher, so be a good student.. and learn." Harlan looks at me before the guy starts talking again, "It kills every night, and now it's killing for you." "And that's our fault?" I question, "No. The wolf kills to satisfy a predatory drive. The urge is too powerful to resist. It hunts, kills, and then hides, sleeping until the next night, when the moon rises, and it begins to hunt again. You may not want to hear this, but you can stop it." "How?" Everett asks. "Blake knows. It's the only reason she's still standing there." I look at Blake, same with everyone else, "Together. We stop it together. " She says. "So it's gonna kill someone tonight." Everett says, "Are you listening, Everett? It kills every night." He hangs up. My phone chimes as the guy sent a pin. I open the message. "What is that?" Luna asks, we all look closer. "He shared a location." I spoke.
