Main Characters

Aryll: Link's younger sister and Shepherd's daughter. Yiga Clan members killed her and her mother on vacation. Her most treasured possession was a telescope, and her favorite animal was a seagull.

Astor: A prophet who foretold the coming of Calamity Ganon. He was working for the Royal Family but was secretly a Yiga member. The Empress killed him upon his return to the Yiga.

Empress, The (aka Calamity Zelda): The form Zelda took when the Malice within her fully consumed and possessed her. She attempted to take over Lorule but was defeated when Link expelled the Malice from her.

Ghost: Husband of Soap and a soldier of Noble Team. He was Soap's superior at the time Soap found the Master Sword. He infamously wears a skull mask everywhere. Very little is known about his youth. Currently MIA.

Hilda: The ruler of Lorule. She resembles Zelda with a different color palette. She is the mother of Marin. She sacrificed herself to revive Link.

Link: One of the greatest swordsmen in recorded history, he wields the Master Sword. He has been childhood friends with Princess Zelda since birth. He led Noble Team during its mission in Lorule and saved Zelda by purging the Malice within her.

Makarov: A diehard Yiga leader, he was responsible for the Red War. He was killed by Shepherd but resurrected with the power of Malice. He led the Yiga forces in Lorule before being bested by the Empress in single combat.

Marin: The daughter of Hilda and Ravio. She is not yet a year old, and Link and Zelda are raising her.

Mason: A soldier of the Noble Team. It is known that he had two children born before he ventured into Lorule. The Yiga killed him in a Lorulean prison.

Reznov: A soldier of the Noble Team. He was a promiscuous man, but none could match his strength. He sacrificed himself to save Yuri, Link, and Hilda from the Empress and the Yiga.

Rhoam: The King of Hyrule and the father of Princess Zelda. He constantly worries about his kingdom, especially Zelda's progress in unlocking her sealing power.

Sandman: Callsign of the leader of Team Metal. He was deemed KIA trying to rescue two informants from a collapsing diamond mine, though he is officially MIA.

Shepherd: General of all Hyrulean soldiers and Link and Aryll's father. He killed Makarov in a duel that ended the Red War and oversaw the Hyrulean Army afterward. He was also governor of Castle Town. Hilda summoned him to Lorule to oversee the operations there, and he was at the final battle of the castle. Currently MIA

Soap: Husband of Ghost and a soldier of Noble Team. He was the first soldier to find the Master Sword. Deemed "dirty-minded" by his comrades, he was an expert in explosives—currently MIA.

Turner: A soldier of the Noble Team. He went through West Point and was made an officer by Princess Zelda. He was KIA trying to infiltrate the Scarlet Keep in Lorule.

Yuri: A former Cabal member and a soldier of Noble Team. He has spent his life trying to atone for his past mistakes. Aside from Link, he is currently the only known survivor of Noble Team.

Zelda: The princess of Hyrule, the daughter of King Rhoam and Link's childhood friend. She later joined the remnants of the Noble Team after the funeral of Sandman and his team. She was infected by Malice and transformed into Calamity Zelda before Link purged the Malice from her body.
