"So, what's the schedule for today?" Hoshi asked over a mouthfull of Kimbap.
They had made it to their first breakfast okay, although the staircase they had used yesterday only seemed to work if you went down it, not up, so they'd had to find a different hallway to the Great Hall.

"A History of Magic lesson in the morning, and double potions after lunch," Felix said, reading over his piece of parchment.

"My brother says the potion's master, professor Snape, is a really good teacher. He never mentioned the History of Magic teacher though," Hoshi said, looking as curious as Felix felt.

"What house is your brother in?" Felix asked. He hadn't even known that Hoshi had a brother until the other boys had pestered him last night, and Felix only held back his questions because he didn't want to annoy his friend.

"Slytherin," Hoshi replied shortly, then quickly changed the subject, pointing at the windows, "look, the owls and bats are bringing letters!"

Felix followed Hoshi's hand to see thirty or so flying creatures swooping in, landing on the shoulders of their owners.
To his excitement, he spotted Byul among them. She flew down and daintily landed on his shoulder, leaning as far away from him as possible.

"I'm not that bad, am I?" Felix asked, taking the letter from her claws.

She gave a screech and flew off into the air again, without a backwards glance. Felix opened the letter, and recognized his mother's handwriting at once.

My Lixie-
How is school so far? How are you?
I've been settling in nicely, I planted some rose bushes out front of our house!
I'm thinking of buying chickens, the price of eggs these days is crazy ㅋㅋ
What house did you get put in? I've been thinking of my time in Hogwarts, and it was some of the best years of my life. I hope you made some friends!
If you have a chance, say hello to the house elves in the kitchen from me.
I'm really sorry I couldn't make it to the train to see you off, I know it was cruel of me.
I promise, someday I'll explain it all.
I'm really missing you over here! Now that I'm back in Korea, there's so many options for birthday presents that I don't know what to buy you!
Are you and Minho in the same house? I'm worried about him as well.
Jjaek-jjaek says hi!
Write back when you can,
긴야나

Felix smiled at the letter. It was just like his mom, sending him a letter on his very first day away from her. He was glad she was settling into the house, and hoped it would feel more like home when he returned for Christmas.

"You ready to go?" Hoshi asked, shoving his now empty plate away.

Felix nodded, his excitement returning. His very first class!

"So, how do we get to the classroom?" Hoshi looked at Felix expectantly.
Felix pulled out the parchment again, but there were no instructions on it. He flipped it over. Blank. "Um.."

"Are we supposed to just try every door?" Hoshi began to look stressed now, and ran a hand through his dyed silver hair.
Felix glanced around the lunchroom. It was still pretty full, and to his relief he spotted Jackson Wang talking to a bunch of other second years. "Let's ask Jackson-hyung!"

"Brilliant!" Hoshi followed him over to the table, both of them relieved.

Jackson quickly told them how to get there, and wished them luck, "Although don't be too excited, History of Magic is the most boring class here."

Hoshi and Felix started off again in high spirits. "So we turn left here," Felix said, following Jackson's instructions, "then down this hallway, then through that door!"
