A/N: This book was supposed to end at chapter 40 in April but I had to deal with a lot of shit so hopefully this book get finished this month.
Saturday
"I thought you said he wasn't coming?" I asked Eric as we go to our seats for the Lakers and Clippers game.
"I had like four tickets and besides I lied to you because knowing you won't go if Francis was there." Eric said.
"Yeah that is true but I guess I will stay despite the fact that you guys are my ride." I said.
Eric nodded at what I said and then went to go have a conversation with his brother. Nathan was watching the game hoping none of the teams win since he is not fan of both of them.
Kinda funny how people would expect you to be a fan of a team in your hometown because you are born there.
I don't like the Lakers but the LA Dodgers maybe because the only thing I like from them is their jerseys and I ain't surprised if I get drafted to that team in two years from now even though I rather play on a good team.

It was now fourth quarter and it is a close game as the Lakers are leading 105-104.
In my head I was wondering if I should try to have a good relationship with Francis because he will still be in my fucking life which I hate but honestly maybe I should.
But it is gonna take a lot of work to do that because you know I can't really even see him as my stepdad just as a brother and the age gap is just really weird.
I could feel someone tapping on my shoulder so I turned to him.
"You look like you are lost in your thoughts, what are you thinking about?" Eric asked.
I shrugged my shoulders and sighed deeply. "Just have a lot of things in my mind right now."
"Want to talk about it?" He questioned.
"No not really at all." I said while still focusing on the basketball game.
No offense there is some things I want to keep from people that I felt like they might tell that person who I am thinking about right now.
There is a lot of things I could get out of my chest if I wanted to but the only good reason is just keep it inside because I might regret it and honestly I wouldn't wish that on anyone else unless they actually deserve it.
But the thing is if I want to get closer to Francis and know him a lot better then all I have to do is bond with him which I don't really like at all.

Couple days later.....
The Cafeteria
"Hey did you hear?" Luke asks.
"Heard about what?" I questioned as I opened the the pack of Oreos and popped one in my mouth.
"Ms.West is retiring." He said while trying to take one of my Oreos but I snatched it away from him.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Someone told me and I asked her about it this morning to see if it is true and it was."
"Wow she was a great teacher though, a little strict but she needed to retire and enjoy whatever she planned to do in her life."
No she wasn't that bad but somehow I passed her class and she is really strict on some bad days......
"You are not wrong Sammy and let me have some Oreos man."
"Get your own Luke and besides you know I don't share."
Luke rolled his eyes at me and Clarence walked into the cafeteria then sat down next to us.
"Where were you this morning Clar?" Luke asked.
"Okay first of all don't ever call me that and second of all I overslept then my car broke down and I missed the bus twice so I had to call my mom who was at work to drop me to school." Clarence said.
"What the bad day it must had been buddy." Luke said while patting Clarence's back for no reason and Clarence was getting annoyed because of that.
"Where is Cameron at?" Clarence asked as he grabbed two Oreos from the pack and Luke rolled his eyes at me wondering why I didn't stop him from taking it.
"Detention." I says.
"Damn what did he do?" He questioned.
"It involved a food fight and a teacher almost having an broken neck by slipping on a banana peel."
Clarence chuckled. "Damn that is just crazy honestly and not funny though."
"What are you guys doing after school?" Luke asked.
"Home like always." I said.
"Same." Clarence said.
"Sammy I know you are lying because there is no way you go home after school every day." Luke said.
"Yeah that is true but honestly I have no plans today so yeah just going to stay home." I stated.
I shrugged and ate the last five oreos and Luke was thinking until he smiled like he thought of something.
"Let's go bowling." He said.
"Alright that's sound fun to do." I said.
"Cool what about you Clarence?"
"Sure count me in."

Francis's POV
(S/N:It been an while huh😏)
"Hey Francis we got a new lead and Tyrone is back in LA after leaving for three weeks." Roman said as he hands me the files.
"Anything else Scott?" I asks.
"Yeah we have been monitoring his every moves and including his sister who doesn't have anything do with this at all but since you know we had to make sure." Roman said.
"The fact that this guy knows we are looking for him means we need to act really fast to arrest him before he ends up fleeing to a different country outside of America." I said.
Scott sighed. "We could but we need an warrant before we make a arrest and also I am pretty sure the guy ain't gonna leave."
Hmm interesting.........
"Why do you think that though?"
"Mom's sick and could die any minute or days knowing he got to be there for her and the sister come on an high school student needs to take care of herself as well without the stress."
Yeah that is true but I feel like there is more to this and despite that I think.......
"You know what crazy Francis, I think I saw your stepson with the suspect's sister many times like the park and the beach also her home as well."
I scoffed. "If Sammy was in a relationship he would have told his mom and also all I know that they are both friends."
Scott chuckled and sighed. "Man you and I both know that friends don't kiss each other on the lips and not acting like lovebirds."
