Finally, Hugo took me to my room. Siguro para makabawi sa mga ginagawa niya. We clearly both know what had happened. He lied and he knew I won't let it go until I hear his explaination.

My room is not as big as the one I had at the vineyard. Mas moderno ang mga kagamitan and like what Hugo said, I have all the things I need here, even some of those I own back home.

Hugo gave me some time to change out of my school uniform, sighing deeply as I sat on my new, unfamiliar bed. I still couldn't wrap my head around to what was going on. From this morning, where men proposed to me out of nowhere.  Walang pagdadalawang isip niya akong pinaalis sa vineyard at inilagay sa sitwasyong ito. To think that he would actually let my live with strangers!

That thought of Hugo lies sounded in my head again.

He said he wanted to improve his skill. Skill my ass! All these time he was lying!

Of all people. I just can't believe that Hugo lied to me.

He was gone for a month to live with these people. Traitor.

I was startled out from my thoughts by a knock at the door. Katulad ng sinabi ni Hugo, tatlo lang kaming nakatira dito sa floor. Him, me, and the housekeeper, which I haven't seen.

"Have you finished changing, Miss? May dala akong pagkain para sa'yo," Hugo said from the other side of the door. "You haven't had you food today, so I thought you might want to eat."

I knew Hugo and by the sound of his voice, I could say he feel guilty about what he had done. But what else could he do? The damage is already done.

I was planning to ignore him completely but I shook my head, thinking again. I had to let him know how I feel!

I walk angrily toward the door where he waited. I glanced at him for a bit before going back. I thought I saw him breathe a small sigh of relief before going to set the tray he had brought with him. Hindi ako umupo. I stood there glaring to his every move.

"I prepared your favorite tea, Miss. Doesn't it smell nice?" I tried to keep my mouth shut. The tension on my jaw is getting intense from keeping my composure. "Naghanda na rin ako ng sandwich for light snack, your favorite strawberry and cream filling."

He sounded exactly the way he is. I couldn't sense even just a bit of uneasiness from him. Nakakagalit!

Kahit pa paborito ko ang mga hinanda niya, lumayo ako sa mesa kung saan niya inayos ang lahat. Ang dami kong gustong sabihin pero hindi ko alam kung saan ako magsisimula.

"Please take a sip of your tea before it gets cold."

This time, I looked at him. Trying to let him know that I don't need tea or snacks. I bet he knew that and yet he is dodging the obvious fact. It was driving me mad.

"Miss Selene," he called out my name now.

Kung akala niya hahayaan ko nalang ang nangyari. Nagkakamali siya. I'm really mad! I turned my back on him.

He sighed again. Although in this situation I should be the one sighing!

Hearing him sigh was like a knife scratching a plate. I was just about to speak up when a hand slope onto my shoulders, making one short, soothing pat. I could smack his hand off with ease. I'm not letting him touch me but I just couldn't.

I could choose to ignore him, but I couldn't bring myself to completely block him out.

"Galit ka ba sa kin, Miss?" he said in a collected tone.

"Ano ba sa tingin mo?" I bit my lip to stop myself from these emotion.

"Kung sasabihin kong hindi, that would be a lie."
