Foggy Days Chapter 8

I get up an see another foggy morning. But I don't know I liked cloudy days. I get ready an drive to the diner. Ruby is already there. An the diner is dead.

"Hey Abby." Ruby said still sleepy.

"Hey Ruby, So...Did Harry stop by last night!" Ruby chuckles "No but I got a text. He said hope you're okay sleep well." "See he cares! Did you tell your G'ma a what for!" Ruby laughs "wh..what are you talking abou?"

"You know that you're a grown woman that can make her own choices. Like being with harry." Her smile disappears. She shakes her head no. "Wh..why not. You need to Ruby Roo!"

I said elbowing her lightly in the stomach. She smiles "You still say that." She says with a chuckle. "Uhh sure.. But seriously...Ruby you have to!"

Then a jolly old lady walks in. "Hi girls. Haven't been here checking up in awhile." She looks at me with shock. I didn't know what to do. Was she mad or something. "Abby your....your back.Darlin I missed you so much!" She said pulling in a hug. "Uhhh...Im sorry but who are you? An what are talking about?"

She lets go. "Ohh um. I'm Rubys grandma. I run this. Ruby didn't tell me you work here. Sorry I'm ...I'm a hugger." "Why you say you missed me if we never met?" "Oh you know us old folk. I must have mistaken you for someone else." She said smiling an going to the back room.

Her eyes looked glassy when she looked at me an walked away. Like she was going into the back to...cry. "Sorry I forgot to tell granny you worked here." Ruby said smiling lightly.

Granny walks back in. " just came to check on you. To see if those boys are still messing with you." "Oh Max an them?" I asked her. She looked puzzled at me "No Dear... Harry an his friends."

I look at Ruby like you haven't told her! Tell her now! I edge her over to her grandma. "Tell her!" I spat out. "Granny...?"

"Yes dear?" "You know Harry an his friends aren't bad at all.." "Yes they are dear?" "H....How?" "They...They are just the way they act. They care about no one but themselves."

I was kinda getting ticked off at her saying this. "Granny they saved us...they aren't bad at all. I...like them...." Ruby said nervously. "An I'm dating one." I added proudly. Granny's face went cold.

"You....You two...Like them! But...but Max an.." We told her the while story. "Ruby..." Granny'a eyes were calm an cool. "I'm sorry but.. It doesn't change what I feel towards Harry."

Ruby was teary eyed. "You know Ruby could still but missing without Harry an the guys! She wouldn't be safe right now for what they did! An you still say no to the guy that makes your granddaughter happy! She will be with Harry! She's can make her own decisions! But she still needs you to be by her side no matter what choice she makes!" I said. My anger was boiling.

"I....I miss the old you." Granny says walking out an saying it to me. Then she turns to Ruby "Make your own choice even if it means He'll never love you. He's a user." Walking out.

"What's...What's the old me Ruby! Everyone I don't know know me! What's going on! Did I miss something!" I said yelling with tears streaming down.

"She's crazy Abby don't listen to her please." Ruby said calmly an quietly. Right now she needed a friend to be with. "I'm sorry." I said hugging her.

She cries on my shoulder. "Hey..hey Ruby. She still loves you okay. She's family. You can make a choice she said! Just prove her wrong...okay." Ruby wipes the tears from her eyes an nods in agreement."Your right!" "GO GET HIM!" I yelled for joy.

She runs out going to get Harry an tell him everything. She was going to get her man.

Ruby's Pov*

I drive to Harry's flat an his car was there. I run out if the car knocking quickly at the door.

Harry opens the door an his cute smile comes out as he see me. Then is disappears because he probably thinks something's wrong.

"Everything Okay Ruby?" "Yes everything is okay. I just wanted to tell you...." "Harry whose there?" I hear another woman's voice echo down the hallway. " Just a friend. Go back to bed." "Okay." Then I hear the door slam an my heartbreak.

"Who...Who was that...?" "Ohh....Tricksy. We dated after you stopped seeing me a couple months later. Then she had to go to the college thing but she came back this morning...."

"Your...Your together.. " I said my voice cracking. My heart aching. "What..What is it you want to tell me..?"Harry trying to change the subject "It's not important now. It's nothing. I just thought..." I walk off "RUBY WAIT....IT'S NOT...RUBY PLEASE!" Then I run off crying in the car driving to Abby's to talk.

My heart broke. I never thought it would. He was with someone. He was no longer mine to claim. No longer there for me. No longer there.....

Abby's Pov*

I hear a banging on my door an it was Ruby. "RUBY DID YOU..." I saw her face an it wasn't tears of joy. "What..what happened." She comes in an hugs me. "He..he" she said stuttering an crying. "He doesn't want me....he's...with someone else."

No...I didn't just hear what I just heard. "Roob No.." The she told me everything. "Wait here." I said walking out the door going to his house.

"Where are you going?" "Telling him a what for. I need answers. Go home or stay here an dont go let me handle this!" I said an she nodded with agreement.

I was furious. I giving him a piece if my mind!

drive to Harry's an see max an the girl on the sidewalk hanging out. poor girl. but she was kissing him that made me want to gag.

i get to Harry's an I bang on Harry's door. He opens it. I look at him with sadness.

"Why.." I said with a cracking voice. "You know what she did! To be with you! I stood up for you thinking you were for her!" I said coldly.

He looks down on the ground. " I know this looks bad and sounds bad." "Yeah it does!" I said with agreement.

"I'm not with Tricksy. She just needed a place." "Where is she?" "I don't know she left to go get something." "What...what does she look like?" "Blonde hair fair skin and hazel eyes why?" "Does he wear a black trench coat?"

"Yeah..." Oh my gosh "Harry she's with Max. Right now! I think their together. What if she's using you to hurt you!" "Abby don't be ridiculous!" "I saw them back there kissing and lovey dovey shit! They are together or something."

"I didn't mean to hurt Ruby!" "Well you didn't do a good job because you did.." "I..love her." "Wooh that's a great way to show someone you love them!" "I was going to tell her the way I feel. But them Tricksy came along. An it looked bad."

"Well what are doing! Go tell her." He nods an runs to Rubys.

I get home an go to my back porch to smoke. It was still cold and crisp.

"Nice place." I hear a low voice say. I turn over an see the boss. "What...What do you want!" "Did you give him the letter an tell him?" I nod. "Good princess. He has a lot on his hands." "Like what?" "Oh he hasn't told you!"

"N...No." "Well I didn't come here for story time. So some other time." "What you come here for?" "You."

I feel a guy pin me down. I started to scream but then the put a cloth over me nose an mouth an I blacked out.
