Avoiding Chapter 16

Abby's Pov*

Everything looked black and white.

The thunder storm didn't help the mood.

Ruby's grandma cried and cried at the funereal.

I think I cried so much this whole week of Ruby's death I couldn't form tears anymore. I was emotionless as in depressed. Just waiting for her to call me and say everything is fine. But it wasn't.

I thought Harry wouldn't be here but he was. He hadn't been out of his flat in days. Zayn dragged me out of mine. He comforted me. Which made me cry more because I had to leave him but still face him.

We almost had to leave to go to Ruby's cemetery. So I sat in the funereal home an stared at her.

I felt Zayn come next to me and sat with me. He put his arm around me and hugged me.

I cried some more.

''It was Conway.'' I whimpered.

''What he do?'' Zayn said.

''He killed Ruby. Right in front of me!'' I cried.

''Love!'' Zayn said holding me tighter.

''I won't let him hurt you.'' He whispered.

''Guy's it's time to go.'' Louis said behind us.

''Okay we'll be there.'' Zayn told him.

We got there. Harry didn't even shed a tear he just watched the corpse go to the ground. Ruby's grandma and I laid flowers down.

The preacher said some words. An everyone left. But me and the gang.

''She didn't have good away. She's in a better place.'' Liam spoke.

We nodded.

''She was strong for a girl. She always pretend it was okay. When it wasn't'' Niall added.

''She had a great smile. She was our best friend.'' Louis said.

''Now she's gone.'' I ended to that.

Liam, Niall,Harry, and Louis left we told them we'd met them up later.

When me and Zayn were finally alone this was the time to do it.

HE tried to put his arms around me.

''Don't touch me!'' I yelled to him.

''Wooh. Sorry Love.'' He said.

I would forever regret this but I love him and he needs to be safe.

''You should be this is your fault!'' I said painfully.

''What?''

''If I have never met you! If you just left me alone she would be here. I can't be with you Zayn. You were in a gang. I'm...I'm afraid of you! I know that's the last thing you wanted to happened! But it did. You didn't protect me. An you can stop. So do me a favor and leave me alone!'' I walked off crying. Good thing it was raining.

He ran after me.He grabbed me by the arm and turned me towards him. Our eye's meet they're were both in pain.

''Love. Please listen to me. I know your lying. I;m not the bad guy anymore. Can't we work it out!'' He looked broken.

''I never want to see you again.'' I yelled at him. An walked away.
