The Flashbacks Chapter 12

Zayn Pov*

What Abby said replayed in my head over an over again. I just got her back I don't want her to leave me. She was my best friend since 8th grade. I remember I was the new kid at school.I always changed schools because I was always being bullied. But Abby Ruby and the lads never did they were my friends. I remember her,Ruby and the lads and I all went to the dance together. An me an her danced together the most of the time. An that's when I really had true feelings for her. An she accepted me in a heart beat.

*Flashback*

I walk on the bus in a new school. It was march so the year was ending an I was the new kid. As I try to find a seat. I hear ''HEY NEW KID SIT WITH US!'' A girl with long brown hair an big pretty brown eyes says smiling. I walk up there an sit with the guy across from her. ''I'm Abby.'' she said smiling at me. ''Zayn'' I smile back.

''Nice too meet you matte, I'm Liam.'' The guy I sit next to said. ''An I'm Harry.'' The guy behind Abby said. ''RUBY BACK HERE!'' Harry said waving over to Ruby. ''Oh Hia, I'm Ruby.'' She said friendly looking at me an then taking a sit by Harry. ''Zayn.'' I said.

''So I guess that means your part of our gang now!'' Abby said with a wink. ''If you can handle it.'' Harry said. Jokingly. ''What we all mean is if you can handle with Abby she's the crazy one.'' Liam said. We all laughed an Abby was blushing. ''Oh shut it!'' she said

We all talked like we known each other since kindergarten. They accepted me very quickly. We all walk out the bus walking towards a irish blonde an a blue eyed an brown hair lad. ''Niall. Louis this is Zayn. He's part of the gang.''

''WELCOME TO THE GANG ZAYN!'' Louis shouts out. We all go our classes.

''ZAYN HEY WAIT UP!'' I heard Abby yell. ''Let's see what classes we have together.'' She leans in towards my planner. Her perfume smelt really good. ''HEY! We have French and Music together! Sit by me! OKAY!? I have no friends in there!.'' She said walking away with a wink. ''Will do!'' I yell back. She turns an smiles at me.

*End of flashback*

She was always there for me an I was there for her. But then about 11th grade things changed me and the lads got in Conways gang an Abby started to date Matt that year. But that was a tough time for her. Her dad left. an she was stuck with a woman she thought was her mom. I wonder if she knew? Her mom was always a bitch. I remember the last time i talk to her dad, he was leaving. He couldn't even say good bye to Abby.

*Flashback*

Conway called me for another job. Well I least I hope. I hope he didn't find out I almost killed his son for hurting Abby again. He changed Abby! I wonder what he did to her. But she was having a tough time. But she kept pushing me away. What happened to our old gang. I just miss everyone.

When I get to Conway's I see Abby's dad's car.Her dad worked for him sometimes to still have Abby. If his wife ever kicked him out. Suitcases were in there.Was he leaving? The door slams shut an I looked up it was Abby's father.

''Zayn?"

"Hi sir. How are you?''

''Not to well my wife kicked me out because I worked for Conway again. But he put my family in it. Now I can't see my own daughter! Wow my wife's a bitch.''

''No a fence sir. But did you just figure that out?''

He chuckled. ''Zayn?''

''Yeah?''

''Can you do me a favor?''

''Sure.''

''Well I'm leaving fora very long time. I wont be back to see Abby.. Your a good man I trust you most with her. So please protect her for me!''

''Will do sir. I always have..''

''I know.. I know. Hopefully she ends up with you. I hope she leaves that damn Matt.''

''You got that right.''

''Tell her i love her an goodbye. Don't worry you'll get her.'' He said lighting he cigar an gets in the car an drives off.

''I'll keep her safe sir.. I promise.''

*Flashback Ends*

I try to get the memories out for a while. I needed to stop thinking about it. Ruby comes over an sits by me.

''Should we call her mom?''

''Ruby that's.. Thats not her real mom.''

''WAIT..WHAT?? ZA-''

''Ruby let me tell you calm down.'' I said So I told her everything.

''ZAYN I LEFT HER WITH THAT WOMAN! WHAT IF SHE SENT ABBY TO A FOSTER HOME OR... EVE N WORST!''

''RUBY! Calm down! She's saf..she's alive. I don't know if that happened lets just hope it didn't''

''You were about to say safe...what happened back there..'' Ruby said staring in to my soul it felt like.

''No..Nothing.'' ''Zayn stop bottling up everything! Tell me!''

''She said She loved me but..'' My voice cracked.

''But...'' ''That's just it I don't know! What if she leaves me again! I have her then Conway does the same damn thing to me....CONWAY!'' I yelled walking towards the exist.

''ZAYN! Wohh Buddy. Let's relax.'' ''RELAX! HOW CAN I WHEN ALL HE DOES IS HURT PEOPLE!'' I yelled. ''Zayn! i think when Abby wakes up she wants you to be there! Not with Conway, She'll probably think you said you'll do something for him to you safe or something! Don't!'' I sigh she was right.

''I just don't..'' ''I know Zayn. But hey she always liked you.'' ''Yeah right. She slapped me for defending for her. She actually always slapped me!'' Ruby laughed.

''Zayn she didn' know what to do in those situations. No one ever stood up for her. An if she was on your side Matt would hurt her. so she pretended. She always had a crush on you since the 8th grade!''

*Flashback Ruby POV*

Me an Abby walk in math class together talking about her having a big crush on Zayn. She has had on ever since he came here. An I think he liked her to. ''You like him!'' i said. ''No! He's a friend.. A very attractive one!'' i laugh at her comment.

''MAybe he'll ask you to the 8th grade dance.!'' ''Yeah right. We are all going together! Anyway some pretty girl probably going to be like. 'uhhh hi zayn! Wanna dance babe!' Abby said in her mocking annoying girl voice. ''Then he'll forget all about me!.'' She said.

''OH PLEASE HE LIKES YOU!" ''OH HUSH!'' Abby said.

*Flashback ends*

Rubys Pov*

I told Zayn the story an more on why Abby did those things. ME probably telling him that made him hate Matt more.

''I was suppose to protect her! I broke that promise a long time ago.'' He whispers.

''Who did you promise that to?'' I asked.

''Abby's dad. He trusted me. He wanted me with Abby I think .An I promised him I'd protect her! But she got beat up by Matt, she lost her memory then I don't know where she went an now this!''

''Zayn! We all know you tried an that's the best you could do!''

''Was it? Was it really! i could of done more. I should of done more! But I didn't!''

''Don't blame yourself things like this happen for a reason good or bad!''
