Chapter 9

Tom and Draco went to the Carkitt Market which was located on the side of the side street from Diagon Alley. The place was bustling, crowded with creatures, witches and wizards all moving around. Tom look back at Draco and said " If you're a pureblood fine wizard, prove it to me if you can get some breads and a fish without being noticed by that wizard", Tom's eyes glinted but never left Draco's face. Draco said nothing as he glared back at Tom but closed his eyes and take a long breath. After thirty minutes, his body slowly faded away from Tom's eyesight. Tom narrowed his eyes and looking around as his eyes searching for the blonde boy but he can't. Suddenly, something was tapping his shoulder. He turned his head aside to find out a small bag full with breads and fish but they looked small like a child's toy. Draco reappeared in front of Tom. He was smirking like the cat that got the cream with both hands crossed to each other. Tom sneered at Draco because he felt foolish for challenging the pointy faced blonde and he didn't expected him to be so good at spells. Apparently, he was wrong to underestimate a Malfoy. They walked again to find more foods but Draco noticed Tom was leading them to the dark alley and they stopped to hide behind the wall. Before Draco could say anything, a little chaos began. Draco peek over the wall and he saw some people screaming and shouting in rage by the attack of some animals. An owl snatching the sausages with its claws, a dog jump over at an old witch to steal the shopping bag from her and a snake slithering on the ground to strangle a fat chicken until it dead, it's tail wrapped all over the dead animal. They went toward Tom and dropped the foods at his shoes. Tom released them from the his spell and they slowly went away from him. Draco was suspicious and asked " How did you do that?" Tom smirked and said " The same thing as you did a few minutes ago". He leaves Draco behind who was stunned at the moment. As they were in the end of the dark alley, Tom saw a wizard who looks familiar to him walking towards the Knockturn Alley. Then, he remembered about a wand he'd stole from that wizard the first time he entered the magical world. Tom knew where the wizard head off to because he had accidentally stumbled upon Borgin and Burkes with Hermione before. Another dark figure where it's face hidden by the hooded cloak has been standing in front of the shop waiting for the wizard. " Gellert, my dear friend", said in an unrecognisable voice, it didn't sounds like a man or woman. Both hands were worn by silver gloves. The hooded figure bobs it's head to the sky but the face was covered by deer skull as a mask, on top of the animal skull was the a symbol of death. It raised one arm to the air,still holding a walking stick with three skulls attached to each other as a head cane. The hooded figure was conjuring something with it's magic. A thick mist of fog appeared as clouds covering the whole place with thick fogs. All of a sudden, a skeletal figure was formed perfectly little by little, it has lung beating constantly, joined the liver, stomach, intestines, eyeballs were hold on to the skeletal bones. As soons as it has organs and bones, the hooded figure completed it with skin that shaped a human itself but not an ordinary human because the colour of eyes were red with lips stitched so it doesn't speak at all. The head has two antlers on top of it's head. It has an extremely pale skin that was transparent where all the darkish purple veins can be seen. The hooded figure gives the creature a cloak to cover it's body. Tom and Draco were still staring at what they just witnessing right now. Tom stay quiet but he forgot about Draco who gasped loudly behind him. Three heads turned to their back to see the intruder but saw no one. Tom quickly covered Draco's mouth and shook his head at him with warning silence. Draco pulled his hands away from his mouth and nodded slowly. They didn't see Gellert casting a wandless spell called 'Homenum Revelio', the spell itself revealed the intruders hidden by the wall. He apparated to the wall and dragged the boys from their hidden place. Tom and Draco struggled to get away from Gellert but the man was stronger than them. He pushed them to the ground in front of the hooded figure and the creature. " It seems like we have newborns here", said Gellert with quiet tone, his eyes looking down at the little boys in front at his shoes. The hooded figure weren't speaking with it's head still lowered down as it looked at Tom and Draco. " You have something that belongs to mine", Gellert snatches the wand from Tom's hand. " I sensed a Salazar Slytherin's magic inside this boy ", the hooded figure said as it lifting the walking stick to raise Tom's chin higher to face the deer skull mask leaning closer at his face but pulled away again from Tom. " This one might be Malfoy little heir", said Gellert with calculating tone. " What are we going to do with you, boys?" said him again circling Tom and Draco like a predator to it's prey. " Let them prove their power against the Master of Death", said thr hooded figure with gravely voice. It pointed the walking stick toward the little boys and whispered an unknown spell until they felt dizziness on their head. That's when everything faded into black and they were carried away by the darkness evil.
