Hello everyone! Welcome back to my Voltron story. This is the re-edited version of my story of the same title. There are some differences between this one and the old version. The first one is the POV of the story. Instead of being in first person, it's in Third Person. The second thing that is different is the pace of the story. It might be slower than before and could have a lot more stuff in between. Last thing, some plot points in this version will be different than my first version.
Other than that, I hope you all enjoy this re-edited version of The Heart and Soul of Voltron, The Silver Paladin.
An alarm inside a room in a place known to the world as the Galaxy Garrison was going off loudly in the morning. *beep* *beep* *beep* *be-. The alarm was immediately shut off by a closed fist slamming down onto it, causing it to crack slightly under the strength. The fist retracted under the covers before it lifted the sheets, revealing the owner of said hand. The owner looked over towards her alarm clock and groaned in annoyance when she saw the damage done.
"Uuuugggghhh. Now we'll have to get a new alarm clock," the figure groaned, not wanting to get scolded by Iverson again for breaking yet another clock. The figure rose her upper body from her prone position, revealing a bad case of bed head. The figure opened her mouth wide in a yawn as she stretched her arms outwards. She let out a satisfied moan when she heard her shoulders pop. She let her arms fall back down to her bed as she licked her lips to try and alleviate their dryness.
She let her eyes wander over towards her roommate and witnessed that she was still fast asleep, her figure splayed out across her bed. The girl chuckled a bit at her roommate's very 'comfortable sleeping position. She let out another yawn as he lifted the bedsheets off herself and swung her legs over the edge of the bed. She stood up from her bed and revealed herself wearing a shirt that was obviously three sizes too big for her and just her panties.
She shuffled over to her freshly pressed and clean Galaxy Garrison uniform and grabbed it before heading towards the bathroom. She flicked the switch for the bathroom's lights before stepping in and closing the door. She hung the uniform on a small nearby clothes rack before turning around and stepping up to the mirror. She looked up at herself in the mirror before letting out a small, sad sigh. She moved hair that was in front of her ears behind them and revealed pointed, elf-like ears.
The girl looked into the mirror and looked at the light-purple color that was her skin color. She lifted her hand and gently brushed it against the whisker-like marks on each side of her cheeks. She let that hand fall and raised the other one, and ran it gently over the light blue marks just under her purple-colored eyes. Yes, she was a cadet at the prestigious Galaxy Garrison on Earth, but her appearance was anything but Earthly. After running over what she disliked about herself, she sighed sadly before she stripped out of all her clothes.
She turned towards the shower before turning the knob, subsequentially turning the shower on. She held her hand under the cold water and kept it there until she could feel the cool water turn warm and then hot. She stepped into the shower and stood there as the warm liquid ran down her bare body. She held her face up towards the shower head and just let the water hit her face. She sighed before begging to clean herself. As she washed her body, she winced when her hands moved over her ribs.
She looked down at where her hand had previously been and gingerly looked at the bruised skin that had turned a dark shade of purple. That bruise had been a reminder that she received last night that she didn't belong here. She had been on her way from the cafeteria area of the building when it happened. Her roommate had offered to walk with her, but she politely declined, saying that her roommate had to finish their food and that she wanted to do some thinking.
She was halfway towards her room when a group of cadets surrounded her. She tried to brush past the group and ignore them, but her hair was grabbed, and she was pushed back. She growled slightly at the action and was punched in the ribs hard as a result of her trying to ward her attackers off. The others had thrown a kick or two before they dispersed, leaving the girl weeping slightly. She could feel the pain clear as day but could go to the nurse's office because she would receive no treatment. So she picked herself up and walked back to her room.
