The Bet

For the rest of the afternoon I sat at home in my room thinking about everything will told me and while yes I could just easily wear some of my Star Wars stuff but how would I start the conversation with her about that how would I explain how I know she likes Star Wars or I could wear my cowboys jersey but how would I explain I know she likes football ughhhh and let's not forget I'm supposed to take this nobody basically and make her one of the most popular girls! I know I said this would be easy and I could get it done no problem just like I've accomplished every bet but the more I sit here thinking the more I think this may be the one bet that breaks me! Just as I was about to decide this was going to be too difficult I heard my sister and her friends walk by and it instantly gave me an idea! My sister is captain of the dance team and is best friends with the whole dance team as well as most of the cheerleaders aka my sister is already one of the most popular girls so if I can get Lauren wrapped around my finger my sister will be buddy buddy with her because she'd be with me and by people seeing them talk and hangout they will want to get to know her to and be like her meaning her popularity will rise! This is perfect!!
*next morning*
I decided to throw on my cowboys jersey since they play for tonight's Thursday game anyway and hope there's a sign of her being a football fan. Through out the day I would see her and contemplated talking to her then especially when I saw she was wearing a chargers jersey cause that's who I was playing against. I was now in 6th period and the teacher had us work with out neighbor which thankfully gave me an easy way to talk to her. We talked about the assignment and got it done no problem and she was very timid to talk to me it was clear but since it was for the assignment she did it anyways but now that's done and I'm trying to talk more and it's clear she wants nothing to do with it so I resorted to talking football.
C- so you're a chargers fan
L- yeah
C- that's cool are you going to watch the game tonight
L- of course
C- it's going to be a great game and might I say you're going down
L- you sound pretty sure about that
C- why shouldn't I be I mean what fan isn't confident about their team
L- fair point but you do know that the last 5 times the chargers have played the cowboys the chargers have won so I'm not saying that guarantees anything but I think it should make you a little nervous
C- fair point I actually forgot that to be honest you really know your stuff don't you
L- I'm a true fan what can I say
C- that's cool what other sports are you into
L- baseball hockey and I love watching wrestling too
C- what teams and I would've never guessed you'd be into wrestling
L- yeah I get that a lot and the teams would be the angels for baseball and the kings for hockey
C- decent choices
L-thanks I think
After that she went back into shy mode but that's ok cause today was a good start and I know her teams now so I know enough to make more small talk with her!
