Lauren's pov

Yesterday when I got home I looked throughout the scrapbook and read the letter once again now on my own so I could gather my own thoughts and feelings about it all. When the girls mentioned that's never been done before it  did make me feel special but did feel bad for showing them but they seemed ok. It was all so sweet and I would love to believe it's all true that he meant every word but how could he not answer why he couldn't just back out of the bet if he felt so bad so quickly. I put the book on my desk and tried to focus on anything and everything else that didn't involve him for the rest of the day and it seemed to work. In the morning I met up with kylee on the way to practice.
K- hey love how you holding up
L- I'm alright I guess
K- so I had an idea on how to put this all behind you and have a good time
L- do tell
K- come to the dance with me and the girls
L- I don't know
K- he won't be there trust me he never goes to these things
L- really
K- really
L- I'm still not sure
K- come on it will be so much fun there will be no guys involved just girls night out
L- ok
K- ok as in you'll go
L- yes
K- yay after school shopping then we gotta find you the perfect dress
L- haha ok
The day went by fairly quickly and to my surprise cole didn't try anything which gives me mixed feelings like yes he's listening and leaving me alone but I like the attempts cause it proves maybe he does care about me like he claims. Right now I was at the mall shopping with kylee Erica Amanda and Maria for a dress for me cause I guess they all already have one.
K- so we gotta find the perfect dress which for me screams knee length
E- yesss we gotta show off them long legs of yours
Amanda- do you have a color preference
L- not really
A- ok sounds good
And with that they all went in separate areas of the store while I sat on the chair in the dressing room like requested and eventually I had a pile of dresses to try and they were all beautiful choices. I tried them all but there was one periwinkle dress that had a glitter neckline and cut outs on my sides and it ended right at the start of my knee that just felt right
Girls- oh my gosh
L- this is it this is the dress it's perfect
K- you got that right
I changed and then bought the dress then we headed to the shoe store to find some heels that would match and that was easy. I can't wait for Saturday to put all the problems behind me!
