I've made a statement to the police.
The policewoman asked for my ID. She looked at it carefully for a few minutes which made me a little uncomfortable. Then she quietly returned my ID.
"If you see her again, please don't hesitate to call us."
"Yes, if I see her again." I tried to comprehend.
So the girl disappeared. The pedestrians were only stealing glances at me and the policewoman. No one else saw this girl?
After the police left, I remembered being famished. I noticed something else: the food I bought from the convenience store is missing. I left it with the girl when I went to the washroom. Did she take it? I shook my head with disbelief.
I had no choice but to return to the convenience store. I bought a piece of sandwich. As I was paying, I heard the thunder. And no umbrella. I was frustrated at this point.
