Chapter 39- Unforgivable actions.
*****
Guardonia: The joning ceremony.
Unaware of the drama happenning between Josh, Christian and Kirsty in the rows two ahead of her, Laura was becoming increasingly anxious as to the whereabouts of Jake. She was aware that he had been nervous the night before but was also very excited at the prospect of having found his brother, gaining a sister-in-law and hopefully soon be an Uncle.
She had a very weird feeling in her stomach; she was certain that Jake was her soulmate and she felt as if a part of her was missing. Her head was pounding and she felt, stupidly, as if her heart was shrivelling up inside her.
Reluctant to leave the ceremony, she bided her time but with every passing minute her innermost senses were telling her that something was seriously wrong with Jake.
Turning to face the two couples at the front of the Hall, she listened as Ara recited the final part of the ceremonial vows.
"May Ginella bless this twin joining that we have had the pleasure to share with those involved. May the spirits light surround your bonds, may the spirits love keep you warm and loving towards both your mate and others and may the eternal bond you share keep you in a state of eternal happiness and loyalty and those chosen to reproduce be blessed with the fruitfulness to ensure they can do so.
Blessed are all the newly joined couples today given their one true pairing with their soulmates, for their love will flourish and grow into a love so deep that you will be taking your vows soon as the couples have today.
Some pairings that have happenned may cause surprise or dismay, but do not question Ginellas' actions, as she is the one who will guide you through your relationship with your soulmate."
She turned first to Leon and Natasha, grinning up at each other, whilst Leons arm encircled her waist in a possessive yet loving manner.
"Ginella has brought you together as soulmates and chosen you to continue the light-angels tradition of raising new angels from birth.
You have expressed your intent to continue your roles as lightsiders that visit Earth and will leave the Nursery to raise your offspring as 'children of Guardonia'.
You have been granted a week free from duty by the Council, to settle into your new home and become used to your new role as joined soulmates.
May your lives together be blessed until eternity by Ginella and may your joining bring you comfort and love for the rest of your lives.
Go in peace, as a joined pair and blessed be Ginella."
"Blessed be Ginella," the congregated angels chimed in unison and the couple walked through the crowds, along the purple, velvet carpet strip laid for this occassion, with Leon carrying his soulmate bridal-style, as the crowd threw flower petals beneath their feet and upon reaching the end, they waited by the door for Deus and Lacerta to join them.
Ara smiled fondly at the couple; despite having known Deus for a short amount of time, it was clear he was devoted to Lacerta and truly renounced the evil deeds he had committed.
Privately, Ara had allowed him to renounce all of his darkest actions and sins by telling her and in the presence of Ginella, she blessed Deus, accepted his confession and accepted him into the light, which was not an essential occurance but Deus had insisted he ameliorated himself of evil before joining with his beloved soulmate properly.
"The two of you have ridden a tempestuous tide to arrive at the place you are in now.
Your love for each other has overcome all obstacles placed in front of you and made your joining all the more strong because of this.
