"You fight like a Galra!" Zarkon sneered at him.

"I knew we couldn't trust him." Allura hissed as she and the other paladins began surrounding him, their bayards raised, aimed at him.

"W-what?" Keith gasped, turning around frantically as they formed a circle around him.

"How pathetic. I can't believe I thought him worthy of being my rival." Lance said coldly. "He is nothing."

Allura stepped closer to Lance, her fingers interlocking with his. "You are right as always darling. I just didn't see it back then. " Lance raised their interlocked palms to his face and gave it a gentle kiss.

"It's not too late princess. We can still finish him now."

"Please, NO!"

Keith gasped sitting up on his bed. It was just a nightmare. He looked at the time. He had gotten only two hours of sleep. He took deep breaths, debating on whether he should go out and risk running into anyone again. He wasn't looking forward to their morning training. How was he supposed to face them?

**********

Lance woke up early the next morning. Or perhaps he didn't sleep at all. His stomach felt a bit queasy, was it guilt? perhaps he went a little too far last night. He had never seen Keith look that way before.

'¡dios! ¿Qué pensaría mamá de mí?' (God! What would mamá think of me) He thought shamefully. 'Estoy tan desesperado' (I'm so hopeless)

Lance eventually dragged himself out of bed to wash off his facemask. His nighttime routine had become a soothing balm to his homesickness. He felt immensely better once he was clean and dressed for the day, a wave of determination flowed through him as he headed towards the kitchen in long strides.

"Morning, princess," Lance said, flashing her a big smile.

Allura was alone in the kitchen, she looked tired and her usually neat bun looked a bit frayed. She sat at the counter silently playing with her food, only looking up at Lance's greeting.

"You're up early!" she stated in surprise.

"I sensed that you missed me, princess," Lance replied flirtatiously with a wink. Allura simply rolled her eyes and didn't reply.

"Ugh! It's too early for this shit." Pidge grumbled as they entered the kitchen, rubbing their eyes behind their glasses. Their eyes looked red and seemed to have bags underneath. Lance knew better than to address those so he went on, cheerfully."

"Morning to you too, Gremlin. You are up unusually early?"

"That's cus I didn't sleep." They replied, stifling a yawn. "Where is Hunk? He is usually the first to arrive."

"I was the first this morning," Allura said. "Haven't seen him yet."

"That's weird. Hunk practically lives in the kitchen." Lance said with a frown. "I'll go look for him" Ignoring his growling stomach, Lance marched off to Hunk's room and knocked sharply.

"Hey, buddy. Open up, it's me."

Silence.

"Hunk?"

Still nothing.

"Where did you go bud?" Lance muttered to himself as he wandered around the castle, checking every room he thought Hunk might be in before spotting him at the last place he would have expected. Outside the training room.

"Watcha doing bud?"

Hunk jumped at the sound and turned to see Lance walking towards him. He raised a finger to his lips to shush him and turned his attention back to something in the training room.
