Melissophobia

It was Saturday as Nigel and Adam had gone to one of Adam's friend's houses in the country. They were planning on spending the night because they both needed a break from the crowded city of Chicago. Nigel put their bags in the room and went down the stairs to join Adam and his friend outside. As he walked over to them he immediately noticed that Adam's friend was a beekeeper because of the many beehive homes. Adam never knew this about Nigel but he has always had an irrational fear of bees. Nigel has a deep fear of bees and he is quite scared of being stung. So when he sees the beehives he becomes quite worried and very anxious. He doesn't want to tell Adam about his fear because he doesn't want to seem weak. So he puts on a brave face and tries to act brave and unafraid. But deep down he is terrified.

As Adam and his friend talked the friend noticed him and waved over at him with a smile. "It's nice to meet you, Nigel!" The friend bubbled as they walked over to him. Since they walked over he didn't have to get closer to the hives. Adam smiled as he saw Nigel and walked over with his friend. "Nigel!" Adam smiles.

Nigel smiles nervously as he waves back at Adam's friend. He is still quite afraid of the bees but he doesn't want Adam's friend to know that he is terrified of them. He is trying to act brave and unafraid. So he acts like he is perfectly comfortable being around the bees even though he is not. " It is nice to meet you too." He says as he smiles.

They start to talk and soon start to walk around the field but away from the bees. Nigel got to take a break from the bees which calmed him down but he was still a little on edge. Adam noticed how nervous he was but tried to dismiss it since this is just their first time meeting. As they walked through the sunny peaceful trails in the fields it was peaceful. Adam eventually grabbed Nigel's hand so they held hands.

Nigel feels very calm and comfortable once they start walking away from the bees. He feels safe now that he is far away from them. So he takes a deep breath and relaxes. When Adam grabs his hand Nigel smiles and holds Adam's hand back. He is happy to be with Adam and he feels safe with him. Adam is the only one who can truly make Nigel feel calm and comfortable.

Eventually, the nice trip away from the bees ended and they soon came back to the house. Before they went in, Nigel and Adam's hands came undone as a bee landed on Adam's hand. He chuckles as he looks at the bee in his hand. Adam turns his head to look at Nigel for his reaction.

Nigel sees the bee land on Adam's hand and he immediately freezes. His face goes white and he becomes very still. His body is completely frozen in fear. He is trying to stay calm but he can't help it. He is terrified. He can't move. He is in a state of panic and anxiety. He is petrified of the bee on Adam's hand.

Adam takes notice of the extreme amount of anxiety Nigel was feeling all of a sudden. His friend scoops the bee and brings it back to the hive. As the friend leaves, Adam looks at Nigel, concerned. "Dear, are you all right?"

"I... Um... Yeah... I'm fine..." Nigel says through gritted teeth. His eyes are wide and his heart is pounding. He is still in a state of total panic. He is trying to act tough and unafraid but inside he is terrified. His mind is racing and he is feeling very hot and sweaty. He is completely freaking out inside.

"Don't lie to me, Nigel." Adam sighs as he grabs his hand. It was completely obvious how Nigel felt and Adam was not going to let him stay like this. He loved and cared for Nigel and he was not going to let him just lie to him. "What's wrong?"

Nigel sighs in defeat and then he looks at Adam with a sad look on his face. "Okay... I'm scared... that bee... it freaked me out..." Nigel admits as he looks down. He is feeling very guilty because he knows that he shouldn't be scared of the bee but he can't help it. He can't control his fear. He is embarrassed and he feels weak. He doesn't want to be so afraid of a little bee.

"You know, you don't have to always be confident and perfect with me," Adam says as he took both of Nigel's hands into his own. He places a kiss on his hands and looks up at Nigel with a smile. "I'll always be here for you."

Nigel smiles softly as Adam kisses his hands and looks up at him. He is so happy to be with Adam and to have someone who cares about him so much. He is feeling much better now with Adam's reassurance. "Thank you, darling," Nigel says with a grin. He is much calmer now and he feels much more relaxed.
