It was another tough day with the gang and Nigel was starting to get a lot of pent-up anger and stress. Nigel decided to take a smoke break for a minute and stepped outside of the room they were in. As he left he breathed in and out as the negative emotions stirred in his mind. He pulls out a cigarette and lights it, trying his best to calm down. Soon, his phone starts ringing and he lets out a sigh before realizing who was calling him, would he answer?

Nigel's eyes flicker from the burning end of the cigarette to the phone ringing. He breathes deeply, a slight shiver running down his spine from the chill in the air with the phone at his ear and Adam still ringing through.

He makes a decision. "All right.. I'll deal with this."

He pulls the phone closer to his ear, exhaling a puff of smoke as he speaks. "Hello..?"

"Nigel!" Adam says sounding pretty happy he answered. "I'm just checking in on you. Is your day going all right, dear?" Adam asks, sounding slightly concerned but happy to talk to his boyfriend. Nigel takes another puff off his cigarette

"Yeah yeah.. just working." The end of his cigarette flares, "You know the drill.. "

He looks up into the dark blue sky, and a distant train whistle is heard.

"I miss you."

"I miss you too, dear." Adam sighs into the phone. Adam was always there for Nigel and Nigel was there for Adam. They had a very understanding and loving relationship. "Just know that I'm here for you and I love you." He reassures Nigel.

Nigel is quite touched by this. Nigel exhales deeply and puts the cigarette out in a nearby empty flower pot.

"You know that I would do anything for you." His face softens, "I'm always here for you. Always." He sighs. "I love you.." his voice softens just a bit.

"So am I." Nigel could just hear him smile on the phone. Nigel had to go but he was going to be home soon. Adam and Nigel said goodbyes before hanging up. Adam always knew how to comfort Nigel.

Nigel looks at his hands, watching them shake ever so slightly on his thighs. He exhales deeply and walks into the room he had been coming out of. The meeting is over and his associates are leaving. Nigel looks into the hallway and waves as they leave. Finally, it's just Nigel alone, he sits down in his brown leather office chair and puts his face in his hands.

"Adam," he mumbles to himself. "I'm coming home to you."
