A month before

A handsome man smiled, his eyes gleamed as he admired the beautiful girl in front of him across the dark-oak rectangular table. She was his age, but she looked so young and powerful. She had confidence surrounding her no matter where she was at, he admired that.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim. This coffee date was the best I've ever been on." Her voice slurred with lust, and the man couldn't help but swallow at her additional flirtatious wink.

The women grabbed his hands, examining them closely. When she didn't see any sort of circled silver or gold jewelry around any finger of his, a smile formed to her plump lips.

Despite calling this a coffee date, Taehyung hadn't ordered any coffee. Instead he ordered tea. The women in front of him found his inexpectancy weirdly interesting.

He noticed how her eyes dilated with happiness when she didn't find his ring on his ring finger. Instantly his wife came to his mind and suddenly he was starting to wonder if the things he's doing is right.

He unlocked his door, surprisingly smelling his favorite dinner plate his mother used to make when he was small. Taehyung hung his coat and took off his shoes, walking farther away from the front door towards the smell of freshly cooked food.

There he saw his wife setting up the table. He stood by the doorframe, quickly going into his pocket to slip back on his ring. Lisa looked up, seeing her handsome husband standing in the doorframe. A smile like no other appeared on her lips, and she came over to him with the same walk that made him fall for her long ago.

"Welcome home, baby." She raised herself up, going on her tippy toes to peck his lips. He let out a small smile, watching as how she unbuckled his suit so he could be more comfortable. "Did you have a long day at work?" She asked, now guiding him to sit down.

Taehyung works in a famous company. So it was only natural that most of his time was spent at his busy work building than his own home. It saddened him that he couldn't see his wife, but thankfully the women he went on a "date" with today has kept him company throughout his lonely days since she worked a desk beside him.

He sighed, nodding his head as he slouched back against the chair. It was a long day at work for him, despite going out with someone early in the morning. "Yes, it was pretty tiring. How was your day?" He asked, running his hands through his messy hair.

The female that went over to grab utensils for them stopped by their kitchen counter. She froze at his question, and she wondered if she should be completely honest.

If she were to be completely honest, she would say something like, "Taehyung, can you maybe come home more often. It has actually been really lonely in a big house by myself. I've missed you a lot when you're gone working hard."

But the last time she said something like that, they got into an argument about why he was working as hard as he does. He does it for her, for them. He does it so she can continue living a spoiled life in a rich home.

However, in Lisa's perspective, she didn't feel spoiled that much. Of course she will forever love him for always taking care of her, but she was always alone because of his job. Hence the reason why her body stiffened at his harmless intended question.
