It didn't feel right to just jump into the next chapter so have this short interlude, but! In return for your waiting, I will probably upload the next chapter sometime this weekend!

This chapter will be a series of short little blurbs so that way, when we have a little time skip with the next chapter it won't seem so odd. I hope you guys can enjoy this with all the love in your hearts as well!

After you and Felix had talked over everything, suddenly the days seemed a lot brighter, the birds songs more enjoyable, and the empty house you used to hate coming home to was now suddenly filled and brimming with life.

Your days started with getting ready for work while Felix slept, on the few rare occasions he would wake, he would get out of bed, hug you and wish you a good day, and then get back into bed and fall asleep. You would then go to work, work from sun up to sun down, and head home.

Then, the worst part of your day suddenly had officially changed, there was life in your home. It had been years since you came home with the lights being turned on and the warm feeling of another being hugging you solely because they were happy to have you back in your arms. And you gave that hug back tenfold. Pouring into it your thankfulness and gratefulness to Felix.

Then you two would play the night away, whether that be with cooking (and all the food fights that would occur therein), with playing games (which were fun to teach to Felix who had never really played any games himself besides a lonely few), or trying to guess which home/dish would win on whatever show was playing late at night. Suddenly nights were the best time of your life, and you only had one person to thank for that, and so you did thank him, all the time. Because that saying that you used to hear finally now makes sense, a rescue is the one who rescues you, not the other way around.

Felix twisted and turned his head trying to understand how the thing in his hand worked and you couldn't help but laugh. He pouted up at you, little bottom lip sticking out to let you know just how upset he was.

You wanted to coo at him.

"It's a controller bud, you'll get used to it after a little while, just try it out and see how it works"

Felix is not so good at playing games, but sometimes neither are you and that's ok for you both, especially because you win more. Which is good for your morale. Until Felix finds a game he's actually good at, and asks to play it for seven weeks in a row.

~

You shake your head.

"No, I think it's different"

Felix looks up at you, disbelief clearly written all over his face.

"But it looks exactly the same, just white."

"Yeah but I don't think broccoli and cauliflower are the same plant."

Felix hums, but his face doesn't quite match the vibe.

"Wanna bet on it?"

His face lights up. "Yeah!"

~

You push back the skin holding his claws. Observing the claws push through and then disappear, it's nothing more than distraction, just a way to pass the time from boredom.

Suddenly Felix sneezes.

You laugh, surprised by the action.
