"Come all! Feel the heartbeat of your brothers, and sisters of home, and charge!" Ruberg commanded with such power. I started to tremble. But with the peer power of over 1000 men, we went, swords ready and shields up.

Down the hill and into small coverages. Arrows were whizzing by like crazy. We stood where we were.

They stopped landing... We waited for another minute to pass by until we decided to peak out. That's when Dermis walks out and gets long ranged by a sniper not too far away. Grieving my loss, I scream out and grab one of our own archer's bows. I take his arrow and shoot it. I duck back down only to peak back over the side of the ground again... Through my watery eyes, I see the dead sniper fall out of a tree with an arrow in his head. The archer pats me on the back... I've never been trained in the sorts. I notice another thing more further into the distance..

An army, with the same amount of raging men or more. I froze- and my brain began to trail into thought... What if they too were just as scared, worried, at a loss of words that puts such into scrambled screams. I snapped out of it...

"I shall not worry about those! I shall protect my king! My valiant ruler!" I yell. Then, with the power of my voice, we moved on into battle. I felt a drop in my movement. I fell... Into some hole. I can still see their feet, their boots, above me as I scream out for help. But with the thunder of their charge, I cannot be heard. As they charge above me, a rock is kicked in, hitting me on the head. My head begins to feel heavy and dull as I start to drift off into a white unconsciousness.

Woken to the sounds of birds, I decide to take a look outside the hole. I pull myself out of it and notice nobody is around.. There are obvious signs of a battle but there are no Lurkers. I look around some more.

How strange, for the stories of the Lurkers has not followed quite. It has been said that they shall roam, following any battle, to pick the bones of those who have faught in such. They are said to appear human, with thick dark coats of wool and ragged worn cloth that cover most of their muddy, grey skin... creepy buggars.

I should return home.., but no! Merrie..!- Mercy on my children.., for I am to leave. I know she's still out there.. Damn me if I die; if I do not return. Forgive me for the sacrifice of my children's sanity. With this armor I wear and this sword I still carry.. I must go out into the forest... May she be alive and may my only fear be the Lurkers Ol' Mum had talked about... They have their ways.
