Two flying hell-beasts dove down from behind us, just missing and continuing ahead. We jumped to our right and under some rocks. I didn't get a good look at them but they were long, dark, and dragon-like; seemed to have some sort of spiky tail. But with very little light and warmth in this dark world we tried our best to sit still as the two beasts landed only a few feet away from our hiding place.
Emalia and I huddled closer to stay warm. However, doing this caused the one beast to look our way. We halted all movement and watched as the blue eyes glowed in anger from the hungry beast. We waited for a little while then it flew off. Just as we were getting out we heard the dragons let out a ear bleeding screech as they were heading behind us. Emalia jumped towards me.
"What are those things..?" I asked, shaking my head. "I know their dragons but-"
"Let's just continue," Emalia interrupted. "I need to get out of here, Ferrin. I'm going insane."
"Insane?"
"Holy crap, Ferrin. Any other idiot could understand why, but soon it will hit you in the head. You'll start to loose your mind as many other hell-beasts in this purple world attempt their best and never give up any chase just trying to kill you. Now let's go."
"Okay.., but where?"
"I don't know let's just go!"
We ran off into the dark, only seeing the outlines of the rough terrain on the dark grey horizon. As cold as the freezing winter on the bare skin we continued on, passing anything out here that looked like something from hell, as I was pretty sure this was. We were chased by most.. and all we couldn't even see. We saw a light down below a small drop next to us. She pointed it out and I suggested we went towards it.
Feeling our way along the ground we make it to the edge. The light is about the only thing we can see, save the pale red moon starting to rise behind us. We waited a little while for some more light to come into our view so we could climb down. We jumped on down and heard a familiar screech.
Hell beasts. Down they came as shadows in the night. They barely missed us as we ducked down. We began running quickly towards the light which our eyes could now see it was coming from inside something in the shape of a house. Quickly we ran inside and slammed the door behind us.
We hid in the creaking yet silent house while the screeching of the hell-beasts ratteled our eardrums. We were surrounded by them now. About seven of them, circling around the house, waiting to feed on us. Emalia quietly moved down the hallway in the house towards the light. I looked over and followed her. In a trance we followed the light.
As we walked down the hallway the light floated down another, leading us into a room where it disappeared. It gave a light show, one I never could have ever dreamed of. Flowing flashes of orange mimmicked each other in circles on both sides of a wall. The ceiling then lit up with green and blue while the darkness was in the mix of it. A bright white light shone from the center. Two yellow shapes of light then flowed off to the sides every once in a while. A pair of almost pillar-like lines of purple light flowed upwards from the floor onto the wall. It made an illusive pathway on the wall. And with that it started to appear like we were moving with it. Down a magenta path we flew down close to it and back up to the bright blue sky where we saw the sun shining a bright yellow. Then as we looked back down we saw the green fields and perfect water of the world, along with that purple building.
Down we dove and had a swoop. We flew around the purple, now a large floating palace, to see it's bright Majesty. It shone brighter and brighter, pulsing until it exploded with light which launched us back and then all light disappeared.
