3 months later

"Namjoon-ah, we will be leaving now" Seokjin said interrupting Namjoon from his thoughts.

"Ah, hyung so early?" He mumbled looking at his two friends. They had their black suits on and hair styled neatly. Both of them looked so good but their face was full of tiredness and sorrow. Much like Namjoon's own.

"Yeah, Hoseok has an appointment and I also feel really nauseous" he said looking at the crowd around them.

Seokjin always had a problem with crowds and occasions like this.
It made him nauseous and sick. Namjoon was glad despise that, they came.

"Promise me, you'll call us once you reach home? Don't stay here for too long, okay?" He said as Hoseok patted Namjoon's back with a sympathetic smile.

They left some while after that, leaving the other alone. He sat in one of the tables as people around him began to gossip about Choi Sungwon.

"Did you see his son at the funeral? He's only 19 can you believe it? Apparently he's Choi's illegitimate child" A woman said

"Really? Man, that's so fucked up. But he was really sick in his last days, guess it's karma for what he has done. Also, I don't think his son is that good either"

"I know right? No sorrow for his father whatsoever. He isn't grateful"

They continued to talk about the man like they knew his entire lifestyle. Show, they all were here for a show aren't they? Had Sungwon been a bad and poor man nobody would really attend his funeral today. The condolences, hopeful words are just for a show. They don't really care about who dies or not.

"Kim Namjoon-shi, is it?" A woman in her late 30's sat beside Namjoon. When he looked up at her, he saw resemblances between her and Sungwon. They were probably relatives.

"Uh, yeah. Do I know you, Miss...?"

"Ah, I'm Song Yeona, Sungwonshi's niece. You probably haven't seen me before but..this is for you" She said handing Namjoon an envelope. There was the old man's signature in the envelope. It was for him.
"I already said-"

"I know you aren't interested about the property of my late uncle but trust me, he reduced half of the amount after you declined and he still wants you to have it. It isn't much, just his gratitude for you he said" Yeona stared at the sky with a weak little smile.

"You're like my son, Namjoon-ah. The only one I have. Please accept it, as a gift from your Appa"

his words ringed through Namjoon's ears.

A tear drop fell on the envelope. He feels like he actually lost his father, the one that loved him as a son. The one he remembers.

"You were like a son to him. This is his last wish from you. You were there for my uncle when he needed a son, someone that would take care of him. I'm sure you understand this situation and will accept this, Namjoon-nim"

"I-I wasn't even there for him during his last days. I was so selfish at the end, it pains me. I know he-he needed a hand during his last days and I just wasn't there...I don't think I should- you know - take this"

"Namjoon-nim, you already done so much. I hope you'll get it someday. Uncle was happy in his last days, he died peacefully without any worry. It's partly because of you" Yeona smiled, genuinely this time.

"I have to go now, I need to pick my kids up from school. I hope we'll meet again, thank you for the things you've done for my uncle. He appreciated it a lot" With a supporting pat on his back she left.

Namjoon left after a few hours when he saw almost all of the people were leaving. It was past noon after Namjoon reached home.

"Shit..I didn't inform Taehyung that I'll be late. He must be waiting for me...fuck" Namjoon realised. He couldn't even freshen up and he knew that he smelled really bad. Nevertheless, what's done is done.
