The Bridge

You'll never understand,

The thoughts in my head,

The words all around me,

All written in red.

You'll never understand,

The way I see,

The way everything moves,

And calls out to me.

I was standing on the bridge,

The edge coming near,

The night was dark,

The stars, all I could hear.

And as I got closer,

To the inevitable edge,

The sound of waters,

Drew me to the ledge.

You'll never understand,

I jumped and survived,

Broke into pieces,

For I was ready for good-bye.

But the world wouldn't rid of me,

No, it kept me alive,

Back to my world,

Where I could only survive.
