The game

The hallway is dark,

The light barely showing,

Of where I am,

I am not knowing.

The familiarness burns,

The memory returns,

The trail unveils,

The story retells.

The hallway fades,

Giving up its façade,

 Constant twist reveal,

The maze looks surreal.

Monsters and dragons,

Beasts and men,

All with one purpose,

To scare me again.

My savior is gone,

My reason escaped,

Why am I here,

With nothing at stake?

The game is over,

My time here is done,

Yet here I am,

My time has begun.

He sits in his throne,

Watching the woman condone,

He wants to restart,

To follow his heart,

Then let the rest be known.

Then let it begin,

The game once again,

You know the rules,

This is your sin.
