Kai didn't know what he was feeling, but it was intense and it made his whole body tingle. Owen smiled and kissed him again, and his tongue slipped into his mouth once more. Kai held him tighter and let him swirl his tongue around his own, nearly unable to breathe from what that did to him.

Kai shuddered when one of Owens hands moved to hold to back of his neck and his other wrapped around his collar and pulled him closer. It sent sparks down into his stomach.

Between kisses, Kai muttered, "Owen..."

Owen smiled against his lips and tugged on his collar again. "Like that?"

He nodded and swallowed thickly. Owen pulled him down again to kiss him. Soon then had to part again to catch their breath, and Kai rested his head against Owens shoulder. "Is it hot in here? I feel hot."

Owen shifted Kai's head to press his hand against his forehead. "God, kai, you're burning up."

Kai panted and swallowed again, not sure what this feeling was. It was almost like the sickness he usually had, but it was slightly different. It didn't hurt as much, he was just burning up and couldn't tear himself away from Owen.

"Kai, lets go lay down. I'm going to call Amy, I think you might be getting sick." Owen took his hand and left him into the bedroom, then had him sit in us corner. He tried to stand up, but kai gripped his hand and didn't let him leave. The only relief from the heat he got was when he rested his head on Owens shoulder as he pulled out his phone.

Kai closed his eyes as he heard Amy answer. "Owen? Everything okay?"

"I don't know. Kai is burning up, I think he has a fever." Owen squeezed his hand comfortingly when he groaned and shifted. "He's acting weird."

"Weird how?" Amy sounded concerned.

"Well he's extremely hot and he can't let go of me. It's like what was happening when we found him." Owen glanced at him. "What do I do?"

Amy didn't answer for a second, but when she did, she sounded less concerned that before. "Owen, what were you doing when he started to burn up?"

"Well, uhm." He cleared his throat. "We were kind of making out in my kitchen."

"I thought you might've been."

"What does that mean?"

She sounded amused. "Owen, honey, think about this. You were making out, and how he's got some tell tale symptoms of something omegas get."

Owen paused for a few seconds, then Kai felt his heart rate incline. "Oh."

"Uhuh."

"Should I give him a shot of his suppressants."

"I don't want you to give him the shot today because of everything that happened. I don't know how the medications will react with the other drugs in his system," she explained. "You're going to have to wait until tomorrow."

"What do I do?"

She chuckled. "Owen, you're his mate. Just stay with him, and if things get too much for him to handle you may have to help him out in a more jurassic way. Does he know what's happening?"

"I don't think so."

"Explain it to him and go from there, alright? I'll call to check in at a better hour."

"Okay." Owen swallowed. "Thanks."

"Not a problem, honey. Goodbye."

Kai heard the phone call end and Owen set his phone on the ground. To be honest, Kai hadn't been paying much attention to the conversation since he was occupied trying to keep himself from plastering his body against Owens to make the heat lessen.
