A sudden shout pierced through the air, calling my name. Startled, I turned my head towards the source, trying to discern who it was. The shout echoed through the room, reverberating off the cold, concrete walls. It was a familiar voice, filled with panic and desperation.

It was a familiar voice, filled with unmistakable panic and desperation. Recognition flooded my senses, and my mind raced to connect the voice with a face. It was Savy. The tone in her voice sent a chill down my spine, a signal that something grave must have happened.

Without a moment's hesitation, I broke away from the conversation I had been engaged in, my attention now solely focused on the plight of her. The urgency in her voice compelled me to take immediate action, even as I realized that my interrupted plea for assistance might complicate matters further.

My eyes met Savy, searching for answers as she hastily made her way toward me. Fear etched deep lines across my face, my eyes wide with anxiety. Time seemed to slow down as I tried to absorb the gravity of the situation. Whatever had transpired had disrupted our carefully laid plans and thrust us into a new, perilous reality.

With a mix of concern and determination, I moved closer to Savy, my voice filled with a sense of urgency. " Tell me you didn't heard anything. ",  I said, my words barely escaping my trembling lips. The weight of the unknown pressed upon me, but I knew I had to remain calm even though I'm scared that she might tell what she heard to anyone.

The perplexity evident on Savy's face evokes pity in me, which I find disheartening. I dislike when people show me pity because it suggests weakness. I am not weak, I know that about myself; it's just that fate has been unkind, allowing me to be in this situation.

She took a deep breath trying to calm herself for a reason that I don't know, she just barged in here then shout my name the moment she saw me with Gavin. " Exur became uncontrollable when he couldn't find you. Where did you go, Coco? He's asking everyone in the compound to look for you, do you realize that? What's happening to you? His men scattered to the whole place making the guest lead to confusion. " She turned around with a puzzled look and gave a quick glance at Gavin behind me, furrowing her brow. " Why are you together? What will Exur do once he finds out that Gavin is the one-- "

" It's no big deal, trust me. He knows that Gavin is harmless. ", I interrupted.

" Are you hearing what you're saying, Coco? You know how crazy Exur gets every time you're not with him, let alone seeing you with another man, even if he knows the person. By now, you should understand that.", She said angrily, making a valid point about Exur's behavior, but there was no need to emphasize it further. If she's more knowledgeable about Exur, shouldn't she be the one to marry him instead? Now, I wonder how well she really knows Exur.

I took a deep breath, grateful that she had ignored my earlier question upon seeing her. The fear of someone overhearing our conversation weighed heavily on my chest.

But now, all I could think about was how to face Exur after what Savy had said. I was certain he would be furious, and I couldn't bear to confront his anger. We would argue, and I was sure he would intimidate me with his threats.

" Coco, you've been here all along. Exur has been looking for you since earlier. ", And she glanced at Savy. " And as for you, Savy, before Tacky looks for you, go and see him. I don't know if I should be happy that my children love intensely or if I should be concerned. ", Said by Mommy Lily who just arrived here in the kitchen and gave us a look with a mix of pity towards us. If you ask me, she is more afraid of why her children turned out that way. She should have made it clear from the beginning the difference between love and possession to her sons.
