THE sound of keys turning inside the lock was the only thing that could be heard in the hall as the overtired and frankly quite annoyed hero, Shota Aizawa, returned to his apartment.
The second he stepped through the door he glanced around the room, it was empty, quiet even. A look of annoyance creeping onto his face as he let out a dramatic sigh and started walking down the hallway of his apartment, stopping at the third door on the left.
He knocked on the door lightly a couple times, waiting patiently for a response but never receiving one. He knew better than to assume she was gone, so he knocked again, louder this time.
The door still wasn't answered but he could hear a dramatic groan the second he knocked louder. He was tired of many things in life, but right now, dealing with his teenage daughter's attitude was at the top of that list.
He waited for another minute or so, trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that she was just getting out of bed and needed a second to answer the door. But when that never happened he took matters into his own hands, opening the door and allowing the hallway light to flood in.
She winced at the sudden source of light entering her room as she shoved her face into her pillow, letting out another dramatic groan, making this one much louder so it could still be heard through the pillow.
Her room was dark aside from the light coming from the hall. Her window blinds were closed, her lights were off and her alarm clock was flipped over, meaning she knew exactly what she was doing.
"It's 7:30."
He said plainly, standing over the edge of her bed waiting for some kind of explanation for her behavior, as if she ever gave one of those.
She eventually rolled over, looking up at him with her tired eyes squinted and a grimace on her face.
"...Mmmyeah.. that's why I was sleeping.." she grumbled, giving him a glare that just screamed 'just because you never get any sleep doesn't mean I shouldn't.' But she knew better than to say it out loud if she wanted to remain ungrounded.
Between his hero work and his teaching he hasn't been home much, and when he is home he has to focus on helping her with HER schooling before he can rest. You'd think a 16 year old girl would be able to do her homework on her own.. and she can.. she just chooses to pretend it doesn't exist.
