The sunlight felt like a warm blanket over her freckled skin, caressing every edge of her being, her black and teal streaked French-braids splayed across the green summer grass.
her breathing, slow and labored as her green eyes fluttered shut, her breath going out with a hitch, a sprig of wisteria cradled between her rarely still hands, atop her stilled chest.
Oh what a lovely corpse she could make if the day were to arrive...
But it wouldn't, not today.
And as the pool of vermillion, warm and insistent, soaked through her white button up on her right side abdomen...
Her once green eyes... opened gold.

Present day.

Her reflection was something intolerable now, it hadn't changed much over the years, yet somehow that's what made it so sickening.
The fact that she hadn't changed and yet, in the mirror was an image of an unfamiliar girl, it had been so long since she recognized her own face, her own body.
It had been a month and yet there was still a small scab on her bottom lip, her knuckles were still bruised and her hair was already starting to grow back, slowly getting closer and closer to the unmanageable point it was at before.
Her shaky hands would clench into fists by her sides before they began to fumble with the buttons of her shirt, pulling a blanket over her mirror, not wanting the see the scars scattered across her bare body, wanting her abdomen to be out of view until she finished dressing.
she'd learned to be careful dressing herself, to not to touch four fingers to any article of clothing, or her skin for that matter.
The ups and downs of her quirk were easy to learn, especially considering she was only pretending to learn.
Relearn could be a term used in this scenario. It's not that she didn't understand, it's that she didn't recall, and didn't wish to.
