Benny wore an extremely concentrated expression as he tried to tune the kitchen radio to his favorite station. When he finally succeeded, he smiled enthusiastically and went back to the stove, where he made sure the pan was hot enough to start pouring in the mixture for making pancakes little by little. He was fully immersed in the cooking action, whistling an Earth, Wind & Fire tune that was on the radio at that moment.

He bit his lip as he put the perfectly cooked third pancake onto the plate next to the stove and poured some more of the mixture in the bowl into the hot pan, enjoying the sizzle it made.

He turned his head slightly behind him and smiled when he heard light footsteps approaching.

"I should hate you, you know?".

He had the time to chuckle lightly before a pair of hands slid down his sides and crossed around his stomach.

"Good morning, beautiful" he muttered with a smile.

"Hmm, 'morning" Frida answered against his shoulder, leaning against him.

"Why should you hate me?" he replied amused, continuing to cook.

"Hmm" she moaned, closing her eyes and inhaling his scent on his white shirt. He was a sight. With his pajama bottoms, his bare feet wrapped in grey socks, the short-sleeved shirt showing off his toned arms as they moved deftly on the stove. She was in love with his broad shoulders, his narrow hips, his lightly soft belly which nobody could talk about 'cause that could create long and heated discussions... Not to mention his neck and beard... She really loved his beard...

"Because I was sleeping peacefully when I was abruptly awakened by the wonderful smell coming from here and had to get out of the warm cocoon I had created" she moaned in amusement, kissing his shoulder and back from above the fabric.

"I thought it was a great way to wake up a girl in the morning" he replied chuckling, making her enjoy the trembling of his body "I thought you'd have thanked me" he told her, turning off the fire and removing the frying pan, then rolling over to take her in his arms.

She gave him just enough time to turn around before leaning against his chest, even better than his back. He kissed her head multiple times and hugged her.

She looked over his shoulder and saw what he had prepared "I love pancakes" she muttered dreamily, looking at the full plate.

"I know" he said, capturing her lips in a short but intense kiss. He lightly slapped her bosom and turned to take the plate over the table full with juice, milk, coffee and other brioches. They sat down quickly.

"Wow, did you invite other guests, perhaps?" Frida asked, chuckling, looking at everything he had prepared.

Benny chuckled "Only the best for my girls".

"By the way, what about Heléne?" Frida asked, frowning.

"Hmm" Benny said around a sip of juice "It's still too early for her and then... I'd like to let her rest a little bit more today" his tone was veiled with a touch of melancholy.

She looked at him pursing her lips and nodded "It's a good idea".

He nodded once more and then sighed "Ok, let's start the dance. Enjoy your breakfast, beautiful lady" he smiled and poured her a cup of coffee.

She smiled "Enjoy your breakfast and thank you" she said, looking at him over her cup, hiding her amused smile as she looked at him start eating hungrily.

As they ate, they talked about everything and anything, keeping the discussion light and calm, enjoying that moment together. Despite that, Frida studied him subtly, trying to figure out if the aftermath of the previous day was visible in his eyes or in his gestures, but luckily she only found his usual light if not sleepy manner.
